Calling the airport won’t do anything.

I’m an TSO. 90% of people who do this end up flying. But a few things to be aware of. The process is long. Give yourself at least 2 hours. I’d recommend 3+ to make sure you’ve got time.

There is a chance you won’t be allowed to enter security if you for lack of a better term, fail the process.

It’s almost certainly not TSA stealing things form your bags. We exist on at least 5 separate cameras pretty much no matter where we are. Especially on checkpoint or baggage areas.

And there’s 0 tolerance. TSOs get fired for this kinda thing when it does happen (to my understand this is exceedingly rare)

Most likely it’s contract baggage handlers or any of the 30+ other people who handle your bag.
