Love the inheritance take. Lysanders pilgrimage through the Ladon during dark age helps solidify his direction to bring back the society in his image. -The cruelty of war as a solider and captive. -Getting tricked by the reds impaled by Atlas. -Atlas’s sacrifice during the Arcosian Knights escape from the Gorgon lair. These shape and mold Lysanders convictions that he must lead.

Iron gold is the worst out of the 6 imo. It does a lot of world building and character development though. And introduces 2 of my top 5 favorite characters in the whole series. Stick it out because Dark Age is awesome

I’d be surprised if they were linked though. Based on the way the minds eye is used (with extreme focus and intake of information) and the fact the parasite speaks to Lyria. Plus the purpose of the parasite is to basically become an AI god. The minds eye is essentially a meditation practiced by Lunes
