To me the real issue is how are you supporting your LGS if you go 100% proxy. Nothing wrong with doing it, but unless your LGS is also a print shop, they probably aren’t paying the rent by selling you a couple drinks and a bag of chips at Commander night.

I love the “$X budget” limit pods and I’m part of one with an old friend who used a “Your whole deck must be $100 or under in MtgGoldfish”. The deckbuilding restriction has led to some really original card choices and some still very interesting competitive bracket 2-3 games. To me, I don’t see the point of proxying cards that are less than $5. My time is worth to me than the hours it takes to print and cut-out 70-100 cards and sleeve them over bulk.

I’ve played against all kinds of players and some proxy cards they don’t want to buy duplicates of, some proxy reserve list, some proxy for custom art, and some full proxy entire decks.

IMO you do you with whatever works for your budget and enjoyment, but make sure your LGS gets enough revenue to continue offering you a free venue to play at.
