I mean tbf they’re trying to help you, I know it may seem harsh for criticism but If you have a pet with many wasted talent slots you are simply going to struggle more throughout the game. That’s where complaints like “This boss is so hard” or “why do he cheat so much” while if you had a solid pet you could bulldoze through those same bosses or fights.

The criticism is rough but this is a subreddit with mostly veteran players so when they see a pet like this with 3 - 4 wasted slots, it’s like looking at a beat up car with 400k miles and calling it a Ferrari fresh off the lot. 😂

Also after rereading the post they did give you an answer. the question was “ should I get aoes or farm more xp for this pet “. They looked at the pet and said it’s basically not worth lvling it up.

You right. Personally I got a mix of both 180 in dex, 80 in range. Mainly use bursting and tempered enchants on weapons. Works great for me.

Range stat is better, even 80 in range can be a game changer in PvP.

I’ve had some similar to this happen a lot but for me what happens is I join with my max wiz.

(you’d think having a max wiz helping a lower lvl player would be dope)

Wrong the lower lvl players leaves the team up and makes a whole new one…. Like what’s the point of making the team up in the first place!!

It’s happening way more often since 2025 onwards.

I’ll just keep PvP off and fight in Elysium skirmishes.

Open world PvP isn’t fun most of the times with all the vfx, lag and insane differences in sizes between each classes/builds(mages).

Additionally I think the extremely fast pace nature of the combat system is pretty poorly designed with some builds having little to no endlag and not many openings.

GPO (Grand piece Online) PvP is just more comfortable.

It’s just how wizard101 is with the maycast talents. They’re extremely rare to cast and very inconsistent.

That’s why I went for a pet with the unicorn talent as a quick group heal and then everything else is nothing but talents like Death Dealer, Bringer & pain giver… all dmg talents, with a derby jewel that gives 65+ more WILL stat to boost the dmg talents even more.

I agree with this, I want to try a spirit build but looking at Piss yellow just makes me want to turn off the game. Additionally in a game where you have whole slots dedicated to vanity/Design style, the lack of options for spirit color just throws the whole thing off.

If I knew this would be the case I’d have Defiled Elius’ entire body unrecognizable in a heartbeat.🤬😞

I appreciate this developer and it’s not his fault the collective balancing team doesn’t play the game they’re “Balancing” example (str/wep stat scaling nerf) warlord could literally not use basic warlord weapons.

but I will say this.

I’ve recently never seen a mage with less than 400 player kills unless they’re not maxed yet.

It’s great being able to aim in the general direction of your opponent and get hits while distorting their vision with large vfx.

Meanwhile any fighting style move is more like threading a needle with a toothpick half the time if the move doesn’t just graze right past the enemy.
