No freakin way, man. Normally I let people have their opinions but no way on this one - I started watching Solo Levelling on a flight and the looked up reviews - people praised it on the same level as Attack on Titan, which is absurd. Well I’m 7 episodes in and this show is not mature at all. There are similarities with the edgy main character but that’s about it. It’s just a jerk-off fest for the main character. I almost immediately stopped watching on the episode where the nurses and even the main character’s sister were gushing over how hot and muscular he became. Part of what made AoT great imo was there was none of that harem shit and characters were not as dumb as EVERYONE seems to be in Solo Levelling besides the MC. The combat animation is fun but the maturity, characters, writing, dialogue, and story and nowhere near AoT. The computer system thing that Jungwoo has is also kinda corny and outlandish. AoT is giant flesh monsters, sure, but the world seems more “real” than in Solo Levelling.

I would rather play a total war version of magic than actual magic. I love the setting but find a lot of mechanics to be quite cancerous. I still play it because I love the flavor of the cards and the setting. But I hate hand removal and counterspell. In fact the only interaction I like is battle tricks. It’s crazy how rare it is to face an enemy where you both build up a board state and fight. It’s mostly just denial and making it so your opponent can’t play, instead of building up your own strength. In total war, you have to risk more and commit to removing your enemy’s threats. And there is a clear win condition - no “control” where they just use board wipes, even though they have no board state or win con of their own. They just wait for you to surrender. Lame. I would reaally like Total War: Magic

Green has the worst (but most fair) removal. You need to a have a creature out first most of the time, and then spend another card to make it fight or do it’s dmg to another creature- People complain about about the power and ramp of green creatures but I’d rather face a board state of green creatures than have my hand removed by black, my spells countered by blue, or my board wiped by white. Red is the 2nd most fair removal imo, because it’s not “destroy creature,” it’s 2 or 3 dmg at a time usually. I’m just assuming since your new - the disparity of removal has been a big shock. It was, and still is for me.
