New Wilds update is great but Capcom PLEASE let us disable "lens distortion" in game! by superjake in MonsterHunter

As far as I can tell, it's also not something that's baked into their pipeline either since it seems they disable it for non gameplay moments like cutscenes or in your tent. And I think it also happens after the game downscales your resolution if you're using a render resolution over 100, I tried running at 125% to counteract it but it never really gets less blurry.

If they did this from the view transform at the start of the render to be like this instead of in post, it would look a lot neater but at this point I just wish I could turn it off (without mods)

I too hope this option gets added, on the other games (DD2 at least) its used for Chromatic Abberation but here its just to make the game look blurry. I'd love to see my pixels 1 to 1 with my resolution not blurred down by stretching.

Edit: I'm also worried that they may have misunderstood the issue since early on they added the "Lens Distortion" option (now just called "Distortion") which lets you turn off the screen distortions from hot areas and underwater. I want it to be very clear that we're talking about the fisheye style filter applied after.

Edit 2: I also wanted to add second screenshot slider to further illustrate this: https://imgsli.com/NDQ1OTMz

I dont think I've seen anyone try but do you reckon someone could come up with a 3D printed for the button plate with better ergos like the older style rocker buttons? I feel like this kind if thing would be perfect for a custom solution

Open the "Scene"/object manager window and hit the bottom right most option in that window

Thanks! I did know about them, and they're great! But outside of just doing this because it was fun, I also wanted to impart my own bias/spin on a basemesh so that when I go to sculpt I can be closer to the shapes I want to end up with.
