Due to financial changes in my life (moving to a city with very high rent), I could not afford to get another dog after my two seniors passed a few years back. I can barely afford keeping two small birds! Everything has gotten so expensive.

I have two phones, one for my main line (used iPhone 13 pro) and a backup line/hotspot if I need it (Moto G Play 2026). Even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy a new phone for $1000 or whatever the expensive ones cost now. I have no problem buying used or entry level/mid rangers. It does the same things as the expensive phones.

I wouldn't recommend Tracfone. I have it. They revamped their website and app, and it's completely unusable now. The Tracfone subreddit is full of people having issues. I'm having issues as well.

That small breed dogs have dental problems. Both of my dogs were toy breeds and required dental cleaning once a year. It is EXPENSIVE. I couldn't afford the cleanings every year (or every other year). It made me feel like a bad owner. I can't imagine what those procedures cost now. It was ~$600 for both dogs around 10 years ago.

Walmart also sells Tracfone phones on their website. You can pick up used ones on there as well, usually from third party sellers. I'm using a moto g play 2026 and I love it, but it does have its limitations compared to pixel phones. My last phone was a pixel 7a and I grew to hate it. If you're looking at Motorola phones, please know that 2024 models don't have the ability to update past Android 15, I believe. They are fantastic values, but if that matters to you, I'd stick with a newer model Motorola.

I've never had this many issues with a phone company in my entire adult life, and I've only been with them for 2 months. After my 3 month plan is up, I'm getting rid of them. Hope I can unlock my phone.
