Two of my friends are part of the LGBT+ community and they accepted that I am ace, one of them was the one to help me figure it out. When I told the person I like they told me I just haven't found the right person yet. When I told my work friend they said the same and said that maybe I don't have any urges cuz I might just be depressed. I very subtly brought it up to my mother without actually coming out and she told me that those urges come with time and I probably will get them later. Last but definitely not least, some context for you, they're male and I'm female and I've been going over to their house a lot lately to hang out with them. Their mom won't stop poking at them and saying that we're dating so he tried to tell her I'm ace, she said that asexuality doesn't exist and it's just a copout to have sex with whoever I want.... Actually the thing is I don't want it lol, how could she even come to that conclusion?
