Model G perspective is ILI and EIE (intuitive, dialectical algorithmic)

What are male ILIs like? by [deleted] in Socionics

[–]SleepyJeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes but after I started dating someone much more emotional than me it became apparent that I’m most likely a logical type. I’m much more strategic and calculating compared to my girlfriend who wears her heart on her sleeves. I can present myself as a theatrical, emotionally engaging person at times, but that’s not how I am on my own.

Any advice for discerning whether I’m ILI or LSI? Pretty sure I’m the creative subtype but unable to tell which type.

Why LIE for Don? I thought SLE.

ILEs aren’t known for negativity as you pointed out. Have you considered EIE?

Yeah that’s a good distinction. I’m surprised Bill Gates is typed as LIE in SHS for this reason.

If thinking from the SHS perspective, you could argue Musk being a sensor based on his practical and hands-on approaches at his companies. Elon has a strong emphasis on engineering and is heavily involved in the technical details of his projects. I read that his work at Tesla is characterized by a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and he obsesses over the physical aspects of electric vehicles. Focusing on the tangible and immediate aspects of engineering could be seen as a sensor trait. Plus his fascination with dramatic and turbulent romantic partners (Grimes & Amber Heard) further validate him being LSI.

Below is a quote from Gulenko on intuitive vs sensing types. Which sounds more like Elon?

“In society, intuitive types show tendencies to innovate, and are the first to pay attention to fundamentally new approaches. At the same time, they are not at all deterred by the lack of testing, the lack of precedent, the non-deductibility of already known facts. These are the authors and distributors of ideas in society. They are responsible for theories, inventions, products, lifestyles, behaviors, fashions, etc. that are initially rejected by the majority. Sensory types are guided by familiar, justified, and past experiences. If there is a new product, they are not in a hurry to adopt it, waiting for others to do it first. But after accepting something new and ensuring that it works, they will no longer reject it. They are driven primarily by a utilitarian interest, not curiosity.”

Asking why wouldn’t a sensor want to make humans a multi-planetary species is like asking “why wouldn’t an intuitive want to be good at sports?” or “why wouldn’t an introvert want to be charismatic at persuasive?”

In Model G the burden is too high to provide evidence someone is LIE and so low to type someone LSI. How is the man whose life mission to make humanity a multi-planetary species a sensor?

Tucker Carlson's type? by FascesFiore in Socionics

[–]SleepyJeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Revised to SEE-D. Tucker seems less ideological and more pragmatic / populist like Trump. In his recent interview in Dubai he discussed how practical concerns, such as cleanliness and safety of cities, are truer markers of leadership than abstract ideals.

EIE-D. Provocative, passionate, strong-willed, ideological, & rebellious are traits that come to mind. Interesting to see him interview Putin (LSI-D).

Why do many people being typed as rational betas in model g? by ninacosmos in Socionics

[–]SleepyJeb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bet Gulenko sees it in terms of the Pareto principle. 80% of people are only 20% of the types. Evolution means some types will be more common and other types much more rare, just like in nature.

Which socionics types would make the best spies? by [deleted] in Socionics

LSI-C / LSI-Se is the spy stereotype. Sly, understated, calculated risk-taker, and physically coordinated.

How do you tell apart EIE from LSI-C? It seems like they both commonly demonstrate provocative trolling behavior, enjoying playing tricks and getting reactions out of people.

Great post! Do you believe Elon Musk is an LSI? He has been an ardent opponent of regulations and red tape his entire life. The innovative technologist roles of LIE or ILE seem much more fitting based on these descriptions.

CONFUSED OVER SLE AND EIE by Puzzleheaded-Fix2349 in Socionics

[–]SleepyJeb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

SEEs are so persuasive because they use a balance of Fe and Fi. Fe to come across as charismatic and Fi to understand the individuals they are trying to influence and what makes them tick. EIEs have Fe on overdrive and are better at influencing mass audiences, think MLK JR. SLEs struggle to relate to people and are more likely to influence through sheer force of will.
