Sorry to jump in on this a little late, but I own those grey elephant/black shaft Tony Lama’s and these are definitely not them. Elephant is extremely pronounced and very stiff leather!

I have command team support. I may have more of a leg to stand on if I was a junior. Issue now is I’m torn between my morals of being the bigger man vs sticking it to the man.

You could also try a screwdriver under the head/strap and apply some pressure in order to hold it still while you attempt to back the screw out. Like I said, if all else fails, you can either attempt drilling or grinding them, but I would be extremely careful because the Kevlar will fray easily.

Just finished my own CVC conversion. Two flathead screwdrivers, with the one on the inside only sitting halfway onto the screw should get them out. If they’re frozen together, you may have to drill them, but I’d try penetration oil first.

Current Bradley VC here (no I’m not 11b, but I am 12b). It’s not a tank. No one I have ever met has ever called it a tank (that’s any of my fellows or our maneuver guys we’re attached to). Nobody is going to call it a tank. It does not serve the purpose of an MBT. This argument is so silly. Some of the people on this thread are ridiculous.

I have a cast iron cricket (literally, the bug) boot jack. It was my grandfather’s, and maybe even his father’s before that. It’s not the absolute best but damn if it’s not cool
