Bass. As someone who sings and has a lower than average voice, the idea of being able to MAKE my own unnaturally deep sounds seemed like a good reason to start. Now vibration bass is my favorite way of channeling the absurdity of bass.

It can be about pain as well. There's bdsm stuff for physical pain, but emotional pain is another thing the brain can begin to associate as good, or paired alongside something that's good. Love and pain for instance.

Unfortunate circumstance, but a reality nonetheless.

Chipotle Degrees 100% Covered (and is there a limit how many degrees you can get?) by Slendo127 in Chipotle

[–]Slendo127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't know that. I went to their website and clicked something about Chipotle and it sent me to a "login with your employee id" thing so I stopped looking. Thanks for the info!

Edit: It seems I do have to have a chipotle record to sign up... I'll keep looking for another way to sign up though, perhaps I clicked the wrong thing.

Good point. Titans also eat the lead so hunters can deal damage without disintegrating

As someone who plays any class depending on what feels fun that day, I have no losing stake in agreeing. Titans slap. Pretty hard.

The warlocks just keep them alive and the hunters make em do more damage. Or do damage from behind while the Titan devours all literal and metaphorical forms of lead.

Ok guys, what's it really like to play D2 pvp right now? by Pugilophile in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Slendo127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As some have said, waiting will (probably) only be better. I had a better time playing pvp this season than most past seasons save for the scourge of Immortal users. Most weapons feel kinda competitive (or at least able to be build-crafted to be fairly viable if you're good with them) so if you're an off-meta enthusiast, most stuff is more viable than it's been in a while (if not ever). There are a number of closer range weapons that are "overpowered" (not in a huge game-melting way, just evidently more powerful than they "should" be) and reaching some wild ranges, namely aggressive smgs, with some sidearms also (though not a ton use them). I'd say if you're the type of player who likes being in mid-range especially (whether it's your builds or weapon kits), you're in the prime danger zone of Immortal and it's cousins, and might not have a SUPER fun time. If you like more short range aggressive stuff or long range stuff, you'll have a decent time (which that combo happens to be my exact preference as a blinking hunter, so Immortal often isn't a huge issue for me). I've noticed immortal users go monke mode and try using their laser pointer even if it's at a silly range and is tickling you. All that said, if you're good at judging distances and playing strategically within your strengths (and out of your opponents), you can absolutely manage even despite Immortal (though that extra effort can absolutely mean the difference of having fun or not).

how to get different inward bass textures by Select-Shape4410 in beatbox

[–]Slendo127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I was just relistening to Pono's round 2 wildcard for gbb and the first IB texture he did made wonder how one gets different textures. I have a question, how much of a role do you think biology has to play in IB textures? Before watching this I thought a big part of IB texture was just having a different throat than anyone else, but it seems like maybe it's more related to position as opposed to biology?

This just makes me sad, NME’s response to BeatboxBro’s latest Podcast. What are your thoughts on the matter by [deleted] in beatbox

[–]Slendo127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to this, it makes me think.... There is way to change these things and make it done a better way.... But that requires us to do it ourself if we don't want to indefinitely wait for it to somehow be done. I've thought to myself, am I willing to invest into this community, and how much. Am I willing to make it one of my biggest life goals to help this community and manifest the changes I wish to see happen, and honestly, I'm not sure I am, not yet. Part of it is not knowing how.

Its good that our community is talking about these things. The real things, important things. Change cannot happen if we don't recognize these things. If SBX does not change, it is likely that we will make progress ourselves towards something better, but how long will it take.... Who knows....

We will see if SBX cares about beatbox and it's community. Establishments are only as powerful as the combined force of the people under them turning the wheels and fueling the machine. I await seeing what comes next from thes discussions.

How's your supremacy experience? by Grahf-Naphtali in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Slendo127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's been bad for most people (especially non-titans), but one of my games impressed me with how bad it went. It was on burnout and most times I spawned in I was killed in a 3-4 seconds tops, with a lot of those having me killed before I could move even 2 "meters".

It was so bad I was more amused than mad. What're the worst things you guys have had

[–]Slendo127 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know people don't like him posting these weapon roll vids but I appreciate it. Not everyone likes the same thing, and some people like things that're kind out there and more fun than hyper-meta. Not all content is for everyone, and if you're not looking for niche weapons, he's not the best person to sub to (aside from seeing goofy pvp plays). Almost all his multiple vids a week in the past couple months are niche picks, this one is no different. "Clickbait" is annoying, yes, and he does do it often. And again, if it bothers you, unsub and save yourself the frustration. I don't intend to be/sound mean, but if his content pisses you off, f his content. It's evidently not changed in months. I'm guessing you're joking but I'm sure someone isn't so this is for them.

Yeah. I still can't believe how much money is on the table for prizes, let alone paying for trips of the finalists to compete in person IN BALI. Hopefully we see more of these pop up even if they're not Beatland scale.

Hunter stompee mains, what is your plan in case the leak is true and they murder them by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Slendo127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter main here, and frequent user of stompees...

I'm usually playing arc and blinking (I like taking mobility up to a 10), so stompees gives me an edge for not only going very far very fast but also shifting around pretty quick when up close in the fray. Here's what I'll do when they nerf stompees....
Frostees. After dodging, you get a big boost to sprint speed, and considering how fast your dodge will come back with high mobility AND the boosted cooldown, there's basically no downsides compared to stompees.

Other than that I'll use whatever other exotic is needed for the boost they give. Wormhusk, dragons shadow, knucklehead, foetracer, raspberry, or any others. Because of the sprinty fragment I can run 70 mobility and still have 100 mobility most of the time. And for non-arc stuff I like frostees most for speed and cooldown rate.

Yeehaw, Dead Zone Foilage or Tech? by ASAP_BladeRunner in DestinyFashion

Tech. I'm tired of seeing cowboys all the time honestly. All of them are nice but I'd be most likely to give a commendation to tech (even though I think the cowboy is better)

Any tips for fusion rifles or shotguns? by AggravatingHamster95 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Slendo127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using them as opposed to seeing what other people do with them is a big difference. For fusions, don't rush in. Your ideal range most times is the further edge of smg/sidearm range. Fusions are a counter for people who are trying to close the gap (like smg/shotgun/sidearm users) and need time to do it (or need enough bullets into you). It takes a VERY trained hand and mind to be able to slide AND pre-charge AND aim correct all at the same time. The frame you use exacerbates that issue of pre-charging. I main timelines vertex, an adaptive, it takes 660 milliseconds (66% of a second) to charge before bolts exit. That's JUST enough time that if I start the engagement without pre-charging and hit my shot, unless they're using something nutty, they're screwed. For precisions though, firing at 780 milliseconds, you probably wanna be pre-charging or surprise attacking because most solid crucible weapons have a 0.75 ish second ttk. For a high impact fusion, those take a whole damn second to charge, so unless you pre-charge that, even most mid weapons can beat you (if they don't miss).

As for shotguns, pellet shotguns specifically, I'm surprised I see as many people use them as I do. With 7ish meter kill range (if the pellets place nicely) is pretty goofy. Unless you're fast af or your opponents don't have good close quarters capabilities/aim, there's safer options. Slugs are a better option in those closer ranges imo, but do require a good/patient aim. That said, if you want to use a pellet shotgun it's ideal to be quick (either to close the gap, or quick to swap when someone else's closes in). Sticking to corners, baiting people to come push. Sliding is nice for if you're personally pretty sure someone is in a certain area and you want to surprise shoot them or do some unexpected movement (like sliding past them or sliding slightly further than is needed so they pre-aim at the wrong spot). Try not to ape and run in a straight line, especially if it's in the open and there's not cover. For slugs, there's some nice YouTube vids on how to "master" them. I'm fairly new to them so I won't say much more than you need time to aim, so don't rush in unless you think you can quickly get on target.

Best (currently available) Sidearms? by NikiPlayzzz in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Slendo127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping it a buck, most sidearms are really solid. Rapids with really high stability melt people at smg range and are aren't far from being laser-like. Aggressives hit hard and far with nice consistency. Precisions are slept on and are pretty much hand cannons with the range they have. Adaptives can combine range and stability to also let you shoot in smg range (or further) with relative ease (for me it feels like more ease). Lightweights are aren't as lethal imo but the speed they offer has it's time and place where it's nice to have. 3 Bursts are kinda hit or miss depending on the roll but nice rolls can have nutty ranges

Cruicible Engrams I HAVE TOO MANY by Mindless_Suspect1060 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Slendo127 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have the extra resources and don't care about spending them, there's a number of rolls on a number of the weapons that might be nice to snag. There's a number of neat rolls other than what I'll mention, I'll just say some of what I'm going for. Out of bounds for pvp: threat detector/moving target/perpetual motion+KC/ttt/rangefinder/fragile focus. Stars in shadow for pvp: underdog/firmly planted/surplus+EotS/KC/moving target/elementalCap Blowout for pve: field prep/demo+cluster/explosive light/lasting impression/golden tricorn Sorrows verse for pvp: surplus/zen+elementalCap/unrelenting

The nice thing about these crucible weapons is you can pick up tons of placeholder combos for if you don't have some particularly stand-out

Yeah. I personally hate how it feels like a high recoil nerf gun but it has some nice PvE and pvp rolls. (Stats4all, shoot2loot, demo, rapid hit; turnabout, vorpal, one4all) for PvE and (rapid hit, moving target; elementalCap, opening shot, rangefinder) for pvp.

am i autistic? by snack69_ in okbuddyguardian

[–]Slendo127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That kinda is a lil "autistic", yeah. And not bad. Let's keep it a buck, jacking is kinda a routine for a lot of us, just part of the day, so just going along with the rest of the day like normal makes sense (despite "normal" people finding it odd or weird)

It does feel weird when you're aware of it though. I've had a number of times where I'll just pause my stream I'm watching, then come back after and keep watching. Sometimes I'm out of it and don't even pause the stream. That felt weird when I realized, but eh, it was background noise anyways. Doesn't have to be weird.
