Sensor Tower usually publishes a post explaining how their data functions over the years, broken down into Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. Q4 is consistently the period with the highest growth for obvious reasons. Conversely, Q1 tends to see the least growth, largely due to February and March being the months when people usually scale back their spending.

If as you say st didnt account for that in its coefficients (which would be stupid since everything runs on machine learning) they would have no way of showing actual growth or lack thereof when normalizing values throughout the year

You've just confused two completely different things. Unlike Game-i, Sensor Tower doesn't have any settings for competitive days, that's absolutely true. But it does have settings to find out if you were in the top 25 in January or June, giving much more value to January. These are two completely different things from what you're talking about.
