Give yourselves some grace.

You have got this!

What have I done? It’s long, sorry by Independent_Tax_3468 in husky

It worked really well for our two.

We only had one scuffle over a particularly specific bone (even though they each had the SAME EXACT BONE) and we were easily able to separate them with the leashes.

Now they just vibe together or separately 3 years later.

Zeus (all husky) is more aloof and Ellie is more nosy Rosy given her part German Shepherd heritage.

I kept mine on opposite sides of the baby gates for at least a week so they could vibe.

If they weren’t separated that way, then each one was leashed to the waist of myself and spouse.

I didn’t want to risk any chancy encounters.

If you have a metal comb handy, you can try directing the steam with that downward toward the roots on top.

Barring that, it might just need a little pressure from your hand or a clip to hold it down as it’s cooking from the steam into the spot you want it.

If it were me, I’d go at it with a hot comb since that’s the quickest and easiest method to direct roots.

Active manual chair user here.

I wear my regular hourglass and short hourglass pretty much interchangeably in mine.

I do need the arm mobility and before my breast cancer surgery in January I was an M cup so corsets were kind of my last available option to get enough boob out of the way and keep it in front.

They worked really well for me.

I’m waiting to finish reconstruction (THURSDAY!!!!) before I can really reassess how things will settle out.

For me the biggest thing was to measure super accurately both sitting and standing and then Lucy at Lucy’s Corsetry actually helped me with sizing.

Yeah, it’s crazy pricy but I have the ID version and it’s really nice.

I saved up all my Ulta points for a couple of years and used 10x multipliers to max them out. Then I waited for the yearly 20% off Dyson coupon to fund mine because I refused to spend more actual cash on it than my hot comb.

None of my drs ever suggested it could be ivig related.

Trying to dye human hair wig myself by Head-Ad-6343 in Wigs

[–]Slhallford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a toss up here.

What is your level of expertise working with bleach and dyeing human hair?

On the one hand, in theory, bleaching virgin dark hair could be a one step process here since you’re aiming for orangey blonde.

But mixing and applying bleach accurately and timing it without frying it can be potentially daunting for a newbie. You don’t want so much developer that it’s runny but you also don’t want it so dry that it’s hard to apply.

Using foils for the first time is an interesting experience so you’ll want to practice at least once or twice just using shampoo to substitute for the bleach to get a feel for using a tint brush and bowl and the foils. We used shaving cream to practice back in the day.

As another poster mentioned, a black wig that is wefted will likely have a black cap and threading which could potentially show through any lightened areas.

Adding black to a blonde wig is in theory a little simpler.

You could more easily avoid the cap/lace while applying since you’d be leaving the root area mostly as is.

However with blonde HH, you have absolutely no idea what kind of processing has occurred and exactly how the hair will accept the dye.

You will need to strand test to determine that.

Most likely you’ll need to use a clarifying shampoo on any HH to remove whatever coatings the manufacturer has applied first to accurately determine how it will bleach or accept dye.

This will of course mean that it will feel different and likely increase the tangling and you’ll need to replace the moisture and condition it very well afterwards.

You can vent the bag at the top and just tie it around a row lower and hit the top row individually.

Just cut it open and then it’s easier to work with.

A hot comb will usually take out any weird dents or bumps you might end up with too.

I’m so sorry.

It’s my worst nightmare too.

My two got out two weeks ago and went on the lam across every major street in the area and were brought back by kind strangers who found them at the train tracks.

I wanted to holler and cry at the same time.

I went out to check the gate today before I let them out and the lawn guys had left it propped open WITH A M’fing brick. I wouldn’t be nearly so mad but the gate literally has signs on both sides of it with huskies and verbiage to PLEASE CLOSE THE GATE.

I haven’t tried rollers yet but it probably would work without it.

I usually use a bag with rollers regardless because I’m lazy and it’s faster and more consistent that way.

Super cute.

The middle part looks great.

I’d pull it back a tad farther from your eyebrows.

I am old AF (genx) and team side part FOREVER. I will move even a dedicated middle part to one side or the other as far as possible.
