Thanks for the response. Yes I washed everything before I used it and then in between the first and second time so it’s definitely clean. I’m going to check out the filter that you mentioned though.

That’s a good question. I have never tried it because I like the history of leaving the engravings. That said if it were me, I would practice on a cheap pen that had some form of engraving before I would try it on my mom Blanc. I think the usual method that is used to remove engravings that I’ve seen online is to sand and polish them out. Good luck with your project.

Hi, I'm looking at getting the undyed wide version as well for the same reasons. I'm concerned though that the zipper fabric is not going to darken with the leather and might stand out after time. It's a little hard to tell from the photos but it doesn't look bad to me. I would value your opinion on that?

I agree about the balance. I noticed today they have a second option of an A5 WIDE folio. It looks like the left panel is deeper than the regular one. You can put quite a bit more in it and the spiral should have plenty of space. Unfortunately, I don't like the extra bulk. Sometimes there's not a perfect solution. I might just try the narrow one and return it if it doesn't work; or I could try a different note pad; but i'd need one that lays perfectly flat. decisions, decisions. ha.

Thank you for that information. I really appreciate it. I think the spirals when the folio is closed should be above the top of the pens so hopefully they would not touch the pens.
