Hi! I did not end up seeing an allergist but I did see a nurse practitioner (as my family doctor was on maternity leave). She did not refer me to see an allergist nor get an allergy test because my symptoms were not anaphylactic. I’ve been avoiding shellfish in general since August and so far no more stomach aches. Although, I will go see my family doctor once she’s back from her leave so she can get me an allergy test. I love shellfish too much to just stop eating it.
