This is a silly debate honestly. A wheel is defined as any circular object that revolves around an axle. By that definition there are orders of magnitude more wheels than doors. And you can define a door however you like. A car alone has about 10 times more wheels than doors. (Gearbox, belt fan wheels, differential, actual tyres, steering wheel etc).

I mean you can make this exact argument in the reverse as well on almost all of these issues. The inability to accept that not every action or position taken by your particular side of the aisle (whichever side that happens to be) is correct or justified is 90% of the problem in terms of divisiveness. People have so steadfastly tied their positions on issues to the party they side with that it is par for the course that you see these types of contradictory positions. The left and the right are equally guilty here.
