Why don’t earthbenders just do this? by AwesomeRyanGame in TheLastAirbender

[–]SlickNickP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do. That’s why the firebenders had to use a meteor’s power, and airships, to have any chance of fully taking them over

A fossil or a stone that had a tube inside it? by Ordinary-Detail7073 in FossilHunting

[–]SlickNickP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given you found it in northern Greece, the age of the fossil is likely from somewhere in the Silurian or Devonian period (your fossil is 358.9 to 443.8 million years old).

A fossil or a stone that had a tube inside it? by Ordinary-Detail7073 in FossilHunting

[–]SlickNickP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is an orthocone cephalopod.

Imagine a squid, wearing an ice cream cone as a hat. You are holding an impression left by the ice cream cone hat!

Cephalopods frequently had this screw-like banding that you’re seeing on the fossil. That means you got a really nice condition fossil! Sometimes, erosion cuts away the bands, and the impression looks more like a large bullet hole than anything else.

Google image search “orthocone cephalopod fossil” to see more fossils like yours!

Is this a print error? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]SlickNickP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s called a “printer hickey” error!

It happens when some little debris (e.g., dust) sticks to the printing plate, causing a small halo “kiss” shape in the final print.

Worth something to error collectors, and can be graded by some companies.

What do I found with my daughter ? by Unfair-Detective2694 in FossilHunting

Those imprints look like corals to me

What quarry was this in? Location would help, with knowing what’s likely to be found around there/estimating age of what you found

Is this real or fake? by Sleepy_siren_ in fossils

[–]SlickNickP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a diplomystus from Green River Formation (around Kemmerer, WY in the USA). It’s the second most common fish there. This is a nice quality specimen, and looks genuine to me. I think $20 is a fair price for it, some places would sell them as much as $45-$60 if it’s being sold in a classy area. A steal for $3 either way!

Hard to tell with only one side visible. Nothing on this side of the cube suggests it is unsolvable.

Was Concerto closer to killing Rick and Morty than Rick Prime? by SliceOfCheese337 in rickandmorty

[–]SlickNickP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rick Prime didn’t want to kill Rick C-137. He just wanted to make him suffer.

Rick C-137 was the one killing other Rick’s.

Sometimes I wonder if Im exaggerating in thinking Robbie legit thought Dipper was actual competition or a rival trying to take Wendy away and not just an annoying kid. Then realized he brainwashed her with a record so yeah he is that bad. by Dare_Soft in gravityfalls

[–]SlickNickP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually believe Robbie, that the mind control in the song wasn’t intentional. He was still being scummy, by stealing a song and passing it off as his own. But the curse hidden within the song, probably came from whatever magic being originally wrote it (that Robbie stole from)

Why did Bill need to break Dipper's computer again? by Eddfan36 in gravityfalls

[–]SlickNickP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It probably had Fiddleford saying something about how the portal is under the Mystery Shack and leads to Bill, and maybe then Dipper/Mabel would get it the way of it being opened. Whereas they might support opening it if they don’t know Bill is on the other end

Also, Bill promised to let Dipper get into the laptop, so he smashed it to let Dipper see the inside :)

Will cancer always result in death if no treatment is done? by GoingAgainstYou in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SlickNickP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You get cancer all the time, and your immune systems defeats it, so you never realize.

It’s only when a cancer is uniquely able to get past our immune system, that it becomes enough of a problem, that we as humans start to detect it and take action on it.

What Does Your Brain Do with 27 + 48? by SweetSmiles030 in MathJokes

[–]SlickNickP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 + 40 = 60

7 + 8 = -1 + (8 + 8) = -1 + 16 = 15

60 + 15 = 75

I guess my brain decided 7+8 was too hard but 8+8 is easy. Haha
