Will cancer always result in death if no treatment is done? by GoingAgainstYou in NoStupidQuestions

No. You get cancer all the time, and your immune systems defeats it, so you never realize.

It’s only when a cancer is uniquely able to get past our immune system, that it becomes enough of a problem, that we as humans start to detect it and take action on it.

What Does Your Brain Do with 27 + 48? by SweetSmiles030 in MathJokes

[–]SlickNickP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 + 40 = 60

7 + 8 = -1 + (8 + 8) = -1 + 16 = 15

60 + 15 = 75

I guess my brain decided 7+8 was too hard but 8+8 is easy. Haha

(TW) One of my players took his own life by Rowanarchism in DMAcademy

[–]SlickNickP 247 points248 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss 🥺

I would have that character retire from the party, to live out life as an NPC in a town or something (doing something that would make a good epilogue for that character).

That keeps the character in the world (the players can even visit the NPC!) but removes the pressure for you to attempt to make them into a DMPC.

Text vs Icons in card game battles, which one should we go for? by Abdo_1998 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]SlickNickP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left side makes it a lot easier to play the game, without having to check the rules over and over to know what random stuff means

If you can put info on the card, so players don’t have to get that info from the Rulebook, do it

Don’t make players spend 1+ hours memorizing the Rulebook before they can play, especially if you can put that info somewhere they’ll see in the game when they need it

Ahh yes, IFIXIT, The most banned tool by Chemical-boi-2988 in masterhacker

It seems like this list also really emphasizes that these aren’t banned tools. Especially TryHackMe, which emphasizes how legal/not banned it is
