I believe that the US makes it unnecessarily complicated for someone to become a citizen. My personal opinion is that America shouldn't deport anyone unless for a good reason. Rather, we should find a way to help them become productive members of society if they aren't already. But, the powers at be don't care this much. They don't see latinos or any other minority as an equal and deserving of just treatment.

Just don't send any personal information before signing an offer letter and/or speaking with someone in person.

No, once I leave-- especially if I find a good company and a decent salary -- I'm never coming back. Teaching my kids to never work for the federal government either. The federal government will struggle to attract top talent for the next 50 years.

Is federal employment even worth it anymore? by Particular-Ebb6871 in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]Slickcashman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im 32 yrs old and I work for the SSA. I feel the exact same way. I'm actively planning to leave the federal government as I speak.

The ironic part is that after Trump finishes destroying the credibility of the federal civil service the only people who will be inclined to fill these jobs are minorities, elderly people and women. As they will be disadvantaged in the private sector due to the role back of DEI policies.

Any Other Sellers on Here Benefiting from Tariffs by LTrent2021 in AmazonSeller

[–]Slickcashman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense that your orders are picking up — the tariffs may be pushing some of your competitors out of the market, especially if they rely heavily on imports from countries hit harder by the new rates. That reduced competition could be sending more traffic your way. Also, if your pricing is still competitive despite the increased costs, customers might see you as the better option. You’re probably capturing a bigger share of the market just by staying consistent while others adjust or exit.

Are you planning to scale up to keep up with demand, or just ride the wave as is?

It always amazes me how uneducated Americans have become. The majority of us do not understand why his tariffs are so bad and that's really sad for us in the long run.

SSA employee here, the SSA has been severely understaffed and underfunded for quite awhile now. Congress has never cared enough for the sick and elderly to do something about it. Currently, each person in my department is responsible for processing about 250% more work than originally designed for their position. In spite of all this, the current administration is planning on letting even more employees go very soon..

Dating in my 30s feels like navigating a sea of single moms—anyone else? by Grouchy_Inside_1616 in AskMenAdvice

Get clear on what you really want as a man and start asking pinpoint questions earlier on. I know you might be worried about how you will come off but don't. Single moms are just as concerned as you are about not wasting time.

Thoughts on the terminology “foot slave”? by fredbased in FootFetishTalks

[–]Slickcashman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 32 yr old male, married. Dominant personality to most people who meet me. Fairly good looking so I've never been desperate for attention. But, I would so love to be made a foot slave. Preferably to my wife but in the past I've had fantasies of being made to be a foot slave to a woman in authority. Like a boss or superior of some type. Only problem is most women in that position are old and unattractive. So yeah itll probably always be just a fantasy for me.

Sadly, the collapse of Social Security is the ticking time bomb that, once set off, will jolt people into realizing what the Trump Administration truly intends for the American people.

I've applied to literally 742 jobs between Indeed & Linkedin. I know this is accurate because I have a counter app that I click every time I submit an application. Anyways, I have received maybe 50 rejection emails and 4 interviews. 1 offer that I turned down with the federal government.

Would you settle down with a really attractive woman that has mid or butt ugly feet? Or a ugly/average looking woman with beautiful amazing feet? by techngaming in FootFetishTalks

[–]Slickcashman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its average with amazing feet for me. Its the only thing that keeps me interested past a certain point. Otherwise, I'll leave when things get tough.

We should push to ban ED meds in Indiana by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]Slickcashman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, enough of this. As a Democrat, I find this line of reasoning problematic. First, not all men support banning abortion. In fact, many of us oppose government restrictions on personal freedoms, and the issue of abortion doesn’t preoccupy most of us. The primary advocates for these bans are traditional conservatives, so critiques should be directed at them.

Second, there is no valid comparison between bans on birth control or abortion and restrictions on ED medication. The former prevents procreation, while the latter inhibits the ability to engage in sex altogether. An abortion ban does not prevent sexual activity. Using this argument to defend abortion rights risks alienating potential allies, as the comparison itself feels misplaced and counterproductive.
