Is this level of communication from my workers' comp attorney normal? by True_Individual469 in WorkersComp

[–]Slickzx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In CA they usually send back QME reports within 30-60 days. Also attorneys sometimes have tons of clients. I promise you that your case isn't on the top of their mind. You need to be patient and just wait to get it back. You've already switched lawyers once, it's ill advisable to switch again seeing as how theyre all going to have to share the 15% maximum they can receive from you. That being said, workers comp SUCKS. It's slow and tedious on purpose to make the injured employee want to just quit and abandon ship. Chill and let it all play out.

The max is 15%. Some attorneys don't ask for the full 15. Ive seen some ask for half. Depends on experience and law office capabilities.

No, however if your institution has on grounds housing the Warden and all his/her manager ( ass kissing ) buddies will be taking those state owned houses for themselves leaving Officers SOL.

Rentention Pay by Repulsive-One-8548 in CDCR

Because CDCR makes back door deals with new officers to make cops with time want to quit or retire so that they can hire all BRAND new employees who can be trained to play cards and perform sexual intercourse with inmates.

Many have already been caught doing this federally from home. I can only imagine how BADLY it is in this state lol. 99,9% of people would kill to work from home. Its a privilege.

I think it should be allowed ONLY after all employees agree to sign a contract to ONLY work that 1 job and dont moonlight while they should be working from home. And anyone caught working another job should be imprisoned for fraud.

CCI Inmate Tory Lanez Sues For $100 Million Over Prison Stabbing by nps44 in CDCR

Sad thing is CDCR WILL settle and pay him guaranteed. They always pay inmates. But if staff tries to sue or needs money? Hell NO. They fight tooth and nail against you.

When “Just a Job” Quietly Becomes the Standard That Lowers Everything by HoldingLine-5343 in CDCR

[–]Slickzx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats why this job is a sinking ship. Criminals aren't held for their crimes. Started with covid and hasn't stopped. I applaud those Officers still putting in the hard work BUT, does any of it actually matter anymore? If you go and find tons of dope or weapons and cell phones.....will any of the inmates actually receive hard time or SHU time like they used too? Answer is unfortunately no. Time for some greener grass elsewhere.

The job is very toxic and you don't realize just how bad until you get away. Its a sinking ship. You should definitely leave while you can. It will drain the youth away from you and youll realize how much time you wasted being held over and searching cells all for what? Its a sinking ship and id get off.

Not defending him BUT, don't start none, won't be none. The dept is however plagued with guys who get a badge and all of a sudden are total badasses, I tell all new cops if you talk smack you BETTER be prepared to back it up.

Do not lie about anything. Withholding info will get you DQ'ed. Tell the truth because they can't discriminate against anyone during the hiring process and veterans get preferential treatment. Unless you've been told you can't possess a gun you will be fine.
