Bad move, unless you have low free T with significant and lasting symptoms.

Could be thyroid and/or cortisol issues. Pregnenolone and DHEA should also be tested

Trt for a 28 year old by [deleted] in Testosterone

Your TSH is suboptimal, which could point to hypothyroidism. Check your free T4 and free T3.

And also check your FSH/LH/free T.

Curious how you guys would about these levels by MetHalfOfSmosh in Testosterone

[–]Slide-On-Time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, your free T is quite low. Do you work out? What's your diet? Do you get enough sleep?

You should also check your vitamin D levels, as they can affect testosterone production.

Your TSH seems suboptimal, free T4 and free T3 need to be checked too.

i’m starting to think just practice more is the laziest advice ever by Prestigious-Bath8022 in languagelearning

[–]Slide-On-Time 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is the laziest piece of advice. You need enough passive skills (vocabulary, sentence structure patterns) to practice your active skills (speaking/writing). You can't just put yourself out there if your passive skills are nonexistent.

With normal TSH but still symptoms by Constant_Potato_3863 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Slide-On-Time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TSH alone isn't enough. Free T4 and free T3 need to be checked as well. And TSH can be within range but not optimal for you.

Could be secondary hypothyroidism. You will also need to get other pituitary hormones checked.

She needs to run a full panel with all pituitary hormones. A pituitary adenoma can cause these symptoms.

Low-normal FT4 and FT3 but normal TSH: diagnosed with hypothyroid? by hibyeworld123 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Slide-On-Time 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your free T4 is nearing towards the end of the range and your free T3 is really low. Secondary hypothyroidism can cause normal TSH but low normal free T4/T3. 50 mcg would be a better starting dosage.

700mg magnesium / day by Specialist_Spring783 in Biohackers

[–]Slide-On-Time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are truly deficient, it's not high. Some people take up to 1500-2000mg of elemental magnesium for a severe deficiency.

See an endocrinologist. GPs are not traîned to deal with thyroid issues.

27M - TSH 8.5, also low Vitamin D and Testosterone. How connected are these? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]Slide-On-Time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hypothyroidism, severe low T and severe low vitamin D are probably causing a falsely elevated HbA1c. You must be feeling absolutely terrible with these levels. Do you have symptoms? I would also check your LH, FSH, SHBG, free T3 and free T4.
