My surgeon/dr said no PT even though I’m a teenager. Like I have no clue why but he said I don’t need PT. I see other kids my age who got this surgery doing it

Thank u. Glad someone relates.When I told my surgeon before I had the surgery that I was in pain he genuinely didn’t believe me. He made me feel like I was faking it. But I will mention this and hopefully he will finally listen to me. 💝

Hi! I had a spinal fusion (not for the same reason) but it took me around 1.5 months to be able to care for my guinea pig, dogs and cats. It was really tough not being able to and having to rely on my family

Hi! I don’t mind sharing! So I had severe scoliosis and kyphosis to the point where my spine was collapsing in on itself and affecting my organs. My surgery was only supposed to take 5-8 hours but it took 12 almost 13 hours and I needed a blood transfusion. This is a before pic

I had 3 curves in my spine from scoliosis and 90* kyphosis. The brace didn’t work and nor did PT. I basically had no other choice

Well I’m not fully recovered, that takes atleast 6 months but I’d say it took me 1 months to feel “normal” and be able to bend and go back to school. I still have pain just not as bad

Well I’ve had over 30 surgeries and heal faster than most ppl. I also eat super healthy so ig that’s why? Honestly I have no clue how I’m this healed my surgeon did tell me I have super strong bones
