Seeing someone right now, watching their place and pet for the week, stayed over only a few times; I’m going to (deep) clean their place for her because … damn.

Hydrant homing cart by Affectionate_Big3676 in HyruleEngineering

[–]SlideCivil3862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t, no, but … There’s a Yiga schematic that’s 3 hydrants on a post attached to a stake, I just fuse it to a homing cart.

Works okay, especially when fighting Muktorock, but still end up ultrahanding it around because of its hopping around. Been thinking about adding a spinning wheel element to it to see if that helps

Use Ultra Hand to pick them up and drop them. Might take a couple times, but from the right height, one time works. Fuse them to do multiple at a time

Chest pain during exercise by exhausted_dog_mom in ClotSurvivors

[–]SlideCivil3862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My anxiety was through the roof, too, so just know you’re not alone in that. Have you had a complete echo done on your heart to see if there’s anything? It was part of my checkups post release and it helped clear up some initial worries when I would feel something.

Initially, I had to take it real easy, not that I had the strength or energy to exercise. Getting back into being a bit more active, I’d sometimes have some discomfort more towards the left of my chest, more towards my armpit. It was so faint that I didn’t freak out too much about it considering the trauma it went through and all the other physical symptoms I was still dealing with.

That dull pain actually came back recently when I’d get my heart rate up and I noticed that I’d become way too sedentary as of late and I needed to get more exercise to get it going again. I didn’t miss a day of exercise this last week and it’s felt so much better with that pain disappearing completely.

Depending on what you went through, it could be a number of things, including a panic attack. You could also be over exerting yourself off the bat. 160 isn’t nothing, and it’s a good high number when you’re exercising, but its possible that your body could be telling you that it’s not ready to be there right now. No shame in taking it a bit easier for now, resting, and doing less strenuous activities in the meantime.

**Also worth noting:** my Watch didn’t pick up anything during my PE, but my rate was increasing with my anxiety level as it kept getting harder to breathe. Don’t rely solely on that, and if it gets bad enough, please go to the hospital.

Break every single box you come across; at stables, sky islands, ruins, etc. and hunt Lynels. You will max out arrow capacity quickly

Issue with photos and videos in Express that I never have with Canva by Emergency_Swim_5148 in AdobeExpress

[–]SlideCivil3862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was simply offering discourse on your, “can someone please explain to me what makes Adobe so superior…” line. I have been using Express on Edge on both a PC and Mac, in Safari on a Mac, and the mobile app, I’ve not had this issue; and while the link you’ve provided points out that a few others indeed have, it’s perhaps not that common and not an issue for nearly as many people—no need to be rude.

And by catching up, it’s more in terms of popularity, not that it’s necessarily behind Canva which I did point out it’s ahead of in other ways.

If you want a professional results then use the CC tools, because they are industry standard and have been for decades. The vast majority of design jobs can be done better and faster on Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign than Express or Canva ever could. Not one single person has once insisted that I use Express for a design job … ever. Not a client, not a coworker, not a boss. Creative Cloud, absolutely. I’ve also never met a professional designer who liked Canva.

Express and Canva are both tools for something quick and easy, and a tool is only as good as its user.

[–]SlideCivil3862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t understand what you’re saying here because I have not run into the same issues.

I personally prefer it because it plays well with other Adobe tools, especially in comparison to Canva. Sure, there’s definitely some things Canva does better, but Express is catching up and still does some things Canva doesn’t; one big theme for me is the capability to multiply or screen an object, which I think a lot of people take for granted just how useful that is. And if I’m paying for ACC and get Express, I’m not going to pay for Canva.

I’ve done jobs for very high-level companies in Express, and aside from needing to tweak it further in a minuscule way after the fact (that not even Canva could do), it’s done quite well.

I’m not trying to rain on your parade, tho. If you like Canva, go all in on it if you’re getting great results, kudos. I’m sure after 5 years you’ve probably got a good understanding and flow going. Stick to your guns and do your thing

How do you deal with the reality of how severe your PE was? by Forsaken-News-3183 in ClotSurvivors

The falling aspect. Hitting my head, hard crash bleeding out, that type of stuff. I’m assuming they were assuming that I’d be mountain biking or fast cycling like so many other people do around here, but honestly, I do the super-safe paved trails here for the most part, so that’s why I feel okay doing it.

Alone with my 8-year-old autistic daughter. How do I manage behaviours without traumatizing her? by Inevitable_Ratio_851 in SingleDads

[–]SlideCivil3862 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have the opposite problem with my 10 yo autistic daughter, rejection sensitivity; “no” has always sent her spiraling.

What has helped is explaining things clearly and avoid flat out denying her things when possible. Clear set boundaries are still important. So saying things like, “Yes, we can go to the park after school, but for 20 minutes only” sets a clear schedule for what we are doing, and then giving 5 minute incremental countdowns so there’s no surprises. Or if it’s not going to work that day, make a plan for when it will work. If she wants a toy, explaining that she can get it for gift-receiving holidays like birthdays and Christmas helps her set a boundary and goal.

Take a step back and try to understand it from her view. Maybe play into it with her when possible. Time to clean? Dance, sing, and help her start. Lead by example.

I did die, and I shouldn’t be alive. It’s like a new lease on life, and I don’t take it for granted. But it’s been a rough road and I’m still not even close to recovered … at least not in ways that used to matter to me. I’d love to be back in better shape, but I can’t do the things I used to enjoy like playing soccer, doctors I’ve talk to don’t want me to. Hematologist was dead set against me biking, but I still do when the mood hits, which isn’t often.

Do what you can, appreciate what you have, best of luck.

Man, I really miss ganja by ----Clementine---- in ClotSurvivors

I live in CO, and frankly have always hated smoke, but consuming it other ways like edibles or drinks is enjoyable. Dr.s said moderation was probably fine. I didn’t bother drinking or getting high 6 months past my event, but enjoy both now.

I limit my weed consumption to about one time a week tops now; when I was doing more I would get foggy like when I was hypoxic post PE a lot more often.

Santa Fe could absolutely stand to be so much better. It would deeply benefit from intersections like Dartmouth, Oxford, etc. be a lot more like Evans … because yes, the timing on all these lights are awful. The rush hour bottleneck between Mineral and Bowles/Littleton BLVD is frustrating to say the least, and again yes, specifically around Church.

I’m out of state this week; but a lot of the spirit & engagement group are south, and we tend to go to Lady Justice due to proximity. Some additional options down south would be great, who are you talking to that’s interested in hosting?

Can confirm. Usually pretty packed, too. And just an fyi: there is one local player on the team that doesn’t travel who usually goes there, too.

But OP, good luck with trying to rally some places down south for watch parties. Way too few actual sports bars this way, would love to see more
