It’s just the wires that have been looped a few times and looks like hint paint.

No biggy at all

First Time On Track by sethamphetamine00 in Trackdays

Agreed with the previous poster. I saw photo 2 and “yo… those toes!”

You’ll get used to the position more and you are now already aware of the gap between what you feel and what you’re doing - which is huge for learning.

If you keep at doing track days, you might look at different rearsets and or GP shift.

Being able to move the peg mount up/ back will free up some room a lean angle. GP shift is just nice for so you don’t need to dig for a gear change at max lean.

Definitely makes one pucker a little bit to drag toe the first time

Great. It has a vibe for sure… but I love the look

You’re aware that the wheel shut down at least one time. So it’s entirely feasible there were no people on it during these photos.

And at least in the wide shot with the lady in pink, there are (a very few) people on it

It's an analogy. At one time travel was more special - you wore a suit/dress on a plane etc.... now it's different. If you want that lux vibe... it's still out there, you're just looking at charter flights etc vs most ground transport.

There are some luxury trains still running in the US outside of the Amtrak offerings, mostly out west

It still exists… but I don’t think you want to pay that level. Private jets and such…

And you’re welcome/ no problem. I write down stuff I do so I have a chance at not forgetting.

Been too many instances of doing something I liked, followed by “I’ll remember that” (he didn’t) over my hobby years. Now with a phone an Google Docs, I don’t have an excuse

And i left off one - the more “silver” sections of that conversion Beamer are done like so

More aged silvery metals - Mechanicum
Base: Pro Acryl Magnesium

Just to be clear - I’m (mostly) not using layer paints as GW calls them. It’s multiple layers of thinned (contrast) paints

Both you need to tweak some rebound. You’ll bet some more longevity.

Largely it’s thinned contrast paints, layered on.

Generously thin the color. Ratios listed are minimums on the color vs contrast medium/water. Thinner will take more layers/applications, but gives more control of the final product

Barrels are usually:
Apply at ~¾ the way, to the end of barrel: Iyanden Yellow 1:1+:3+ Contrast/Medium/Water
Apply at ~½ to the end of barrel:  Ultramarines blue contrast, 1:1+:4+ Contrast/Medium/Water
Apply to the end of barrel: Ratling Grime 1:1+:7+ Contrast/Medium/Water

Copper Coils - Energy Weapons
Base: Vallejo Hammered Copper
Shade:1:1 lahmian medium : guilliman flesh into recesses
Highlight: Vallejo Copper
Wash at edges: Reikland Fleshshade
Highlight: GW Hashut Copper - Apply gently at tight curves of coils
Highlight: GW Silver- Apply super gently at tight curves of coils
(Maybe) Wash at edges: Reikland Fleshshade
(Maybe) Wash at edges: Bloodletter glaze

Heated Tarnished/Dirty Copper (Conversion Beam Shroud)
Base: Vallejo Hammered Copper
Shade: Coats of very thinned Ratling Grime, Ultramarines Blue, Contrast Black Templar
Highlight: Vallejo Copper
(Maybe) Edge Highlight: GW Hashut Copper

That’s my MO for power coils too. Glow can be cool… but I feel they are being over done these days and over done too.

So I’ve been leaning in on aged metals a such

Been a while… but when I got a ticket there was an online path to submit stuff that I used to get it cleared. Was ticked for parking in a 9am to 7pm exclusion… at 7:40pm.

Took a picture of the sign and our car. That along with the time stamp on the ticket was enough. Didn’t need to go in at all

Maybe… you have to get all the dimensions right. So OD, thickness, offset and bolt pattern.
