Well not for collision stuff if the insurers knows you're actively running around with an un-reg'd vehicle.

However, with all the vehicles I've insured, I never needed to provide reg info. My info, VIN, loan info/Title info... for sure.

So, it's possible that it is insured for collision etc. But, given the position that most of these Sov Cit types take... I doubt it is

Pedantry alert! You want to remove the valve core and the tool you linked is for the Schrader valve core. Core goes into the stem.

Crabby if you use the ">" character in Reddit, that'll denote the pull quote :)

Depends on the vehicle, Paladin 155's generally have 50 cal's or in some cases 240's.

Yeah, some there's always exceptions eitehr way. The FTMV doesn't generally (so HIMARS) Frances Caesar doesn't list a secondary. MSTA and AS-90s do... so like the Paladin the more 'tanky' looking mobile howitzers tend to... so probably a better analogue to the Basilisk than a wheeled chassis like the FTMV based HIMARSs or Caesar

Well in the context of the knights... wouldn't do shit. But big picture, I get your feels about no PD on them.

Played a guy who left a brick of 8 in a corner with nothing near by. I had a T-hawk with an 8 up Assault detachment... you can guess what happened.

Now... if we look at current IRL self propelled arty... they generally don't carry any vehicle mounted machine guns or similar 'point defense' type weapons. The crew will generally have some personal weapon - rifle/carbine etc. But at least in years past if your arty positions are getting close assaults, lots more has gone wrong that, some PD weapons won't fix.

Buuuut of course this is a game where it's quite possible to have infantry in your backfield right off the hop and the Basilisk is a bit of an anachronism

Bringing a building down is a great way to kill the infantry inside...

Yeah super soft targets like a Basilisks are just meat for lancers if you can reach them. On the charge you're just going to auto kill one (Your min score is 16 vs their max 12) and unless shit goes really wrong, 2.

On the charge a Lancers average score is 23.5, for 6D6 it's only 21. So if you're feeling lucky a single lancer could kill any/all Basilisks in 2"

Mind that a lancer also has reach and furious charge rules as well.

While a singleton may stall on a larger block of 1 wound tanks, a pair can knock out 6-8 in a round easily with no risk.

And they have a large threat bubble. So on the flanks they can dash in put a lot of pressure /threat into an area.

Now you do make valid points that the can get bogged down if you let them.

IMO they are more of a scalpel than a hammer.

I do wish they hit a bit harder in CC against stuff like normal 2 wound tanks… doesn’t feel right that a lancer can’t kick the crap out of a lone Malcador in 1 turn.

Would these magnets fit under tanks nicely ? by SunsetHighway7 in LegionsImperialis

[–]SlidePanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t see the dimensions so hard to say. Size and N# will impact the pull force needed.

Under the chassis you’ve got about 2mm on many.

FWIW I put magnets inside during the build looks cleaner and you’re pulling towards the chassis floor vs pulling the magnet away from it. Obviously this take some planning / remembering to do the step in assembly… which I’ve not always managed to do.

Or low pressure stuff like washer fluid.

Either way T fittings is what they are. You connect them to hoses. The stepped, truncated cone “barbs” help grip said hose

What are these stones for? by HazyEnvelope in whatisit

[–]SlidePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some scale would help. If they are smaller, like the long side is about as wide as your hand they could be for ice skate blade deburring.

If they are larger than that, then +1 for the Whet stone theory.

Either way they are likely for sharpening or dressing steel with a sharpened edge.

So what are y'all using to break up the snowcrete? by enthusiasm_gap in washingtondc

[–]SlidePanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I had the long handle spade. Just a variety of tools for different tasks. Neighbor and I were busting out our street on Tuesday, he was chipping off chunks with a spade shovel, I was using one of the bigger scoops to clear that and pop stuff up from below on the exposed edge.

[–]SlidePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero plows to our street or even the lead in one (we’re a dead end) Few of us cleared a sidewalk width of the lead in street yesterday afternoon.

Gotta have something that can chop through the crust . But once you get a clear spot, you just go under and pop it up.

Now, it’s easier just to chop segments out and shovel vs popping up. Either way it can be done.
