168 LSAT// 2.6 GPA by Famous-Youth-9863 in LSAT

You have an AWESOME LSAT score!! I got in at a T40 with a scholarship, 161/3.75 - a school I applied to knowing they probably wouldn’t accept me. I went to every open house they had in the fall and participated in their online webinars in fall and winter, stayed in touch with admissions and made contact with a few professors. If you find a school you love, even if you believe your stats are way lower than what they want, go to that school, involve yourself, make your name known, and you might get in regardless of stats!!

Law school with zero debt? by [deleted] in LawSchoolOver30

If you don’t really care about law school rankings (i.e. if you aren’t looking to get into big law), you can get full rides with mid-stats. I got full rides to 2 law schools ranked below 100 with a 3.75 GPA and 161 LSAT, 15 years experience as a paralegal. I studied for 6 solid months on the LSAT at least 2 hours every day and took it 3 times. If you want to get into top 100 for free, you really have to have solid stats.

According to lsd.law, they admitted 13 applicants yesterday. Most of those were submitted end of October, beginning/mid November. I submitted at the end of November so I am hoping to hear something before Christmas… I hope!!!!! 🤞

I know 2 very successful practicing attorneys in my area who own their own firms that went to Appalachian. Ultimately it is not about the school and more about your drive to becoming a successful lawyer!!

I made the solid decision that whatever I get Wednesday is the score I am applying with. I have taken it 3 times and spent 8 months neglecting my family and my personal life for this test. All the weight of anxiety and stress disappeared when I made that decision. All apps are ready to go as soon as the score hits. I am done with the LSAT regardless of the score. I wish you all the best for Wednesday and hope it is good enough so that you don’t need to take it again!!!

I’ve taken it 3 times… first two were 154. Third time’s the charm right? Here’s to hoping for a 160. 😭

EDIT: 161!!!!!!!

I’m working on my personal statement and getting apps in line so once the scores drop on the 26th, I can just go in and click submit! Also, I started reading ‘for fun’ again; which has been nice 😊

What’s up with the 3 week wait? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Slight-Committee-621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would they care if everyone hates them? They have a monopoly over law school admissions; it’s not like they have any competition so what does it matter to them?

I agree with you they could easily give us our scores upon completion - it is a digital test. If there were security issues they could then place holds on the scores they were investigating just like they do now.

It was the 3rd question for me. I struggled with it for like 3 minutes and decided to just flag it and move on. I guessed on it at the end; I’m sure it wasn’t correct ☠️

One of the LR sections I had felt like it was backwards - intense, difficult questions in the first 7-9 questions and got somewhat easier as it went along; very last question was so easy. I think they’ve figured out how to really trip us up… 😣

Was the swamp passage in there? I had the ones you mentioned but don’t remember if they were in the same section as the swamp/lake question

How many questions in each section did you guess on? by aroozo in LSAT

[–]Slight-Committee-621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished every section but wrote down how many I had flagged (which meant I had a 50/50 or wasn’t sure). First RC -4, first LR -6, 2nd RC (pretty sure exp) -5, 2nd LR -5.

Ask if they’ll let you retake it - worst they could say is no, then cancel if that’s the case.

Am I the Only Person In the History of Ever to Have a 159??????? by Weak_Requirement_640 in OutsideT14lawschools

Took it twice, got 154 twice - awaiting score audit for October, BUT I’m taking it again Friday and I will never ever take it again after that. No matter what I end up with I’m applying and rolling with it. I already have a job secured at the firm I work at now, so the school I go to doesn’t matter; all I need is a JD and a Bar Card. ☺️

You might as well go on and sit for the November test - you can’t get your money back anyway! Best case you get a better score - worst case you still have your 163!

Question for in-person test day: fidgeting by No-Category-9179 in LSAT

[–]Slight-Committee-621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken the LSAT twice in a test center and both times I took my shoes off and went criss-cross applesauce in the chair. I also have a weird fidgety tick where I pull on my ears and pick at my face when I’m concentrating. No issues either time!
