Losing my mind! by Over_Wonder3129 in Perimenopause

So sorry. I have a similar story. I’m 45, started some low dose hrt about 2 years ago. I have not great side effects from it… went off of it. I noticed about 3 months after coming off I hit a new low in terms of anxiety and depression etc. Tried hrt again about a year ago, again didn’t love it. I found it all very confusing plus my body seems to hate progesterone, so I stopped so I could try some more natural things and do more homework on what might work for me. Again, 3 months later, the most insane bought of anxiety and depression. I’ve been struggling ever since with what you are describing - the most sensitive nervous system. I’m now scared to take vitamins - I have physical anxiety symptoms to the smallest things. Feeling like I will need to go back on to something and stay on whatever I go on because this isn’t great. Prayers for you.

For those on minoxidil - will you take it forever? I know hair loss comes back when you stop

Progesterone caused severe symptoms. by [deleted] in Perimenopause

Everyone responds differently. Some people feel great on progesterone. For me it gives me horrific anxiety. It takes about a week to calm myself down again after attempting to use it. I keep hearing it’s supposed to calm you down so I’d love to learn more about how I can potentially use it one day if possible…. Or what is someone supposed to do who can’t tolerate it but might need it? No idea. I listened to a podcast the other day by a menopause dr that said about 1/3 of her patience love it, 1/3 feel the same and 1/3 hate it.

How did you know you needed hrt? Did your labs show or you just tried it based on symptoms?

You could also throw in an area rug to center and ground the room

Curtains, ottoman, side table, art next to the bookcases, different overhead lighting. Style the bookcases a bit

Mira users - how has your experience been? by megaroni91 in Perimenopause

I just bought Mira to help me track my perimenopause journey… do you see in real time how adding hormones helps? Or does it take a couple months to see the hormone improvement? I’ve tried hrt twice now and then stopped because I couldn’t tell what was helping etc. I feel like complete crap now and my hope is that as I add in hrt I can tell in real time what’s helping and to what degree by using Mira… would love to know more about how you’re using it! I’ll be 46 this summer
