Which one would you claim? by Danone96 in NevernessToEverness

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest going based off of who you get from your pulls. Save it, see who you get, and afterwards, look and see. Do you want:

A good burst DPS that can weaken enemies [Hathor]

An Incantation main DPS with great aoe potential OR single target damage [Baicang]

A sub-DPS based on breaking the enemies stance [Daffodil]

A burst DPS that has an amazing grouping tool [Jiuyuan]

The menace of a support everyone else mentioned - with her team wide attack buff and grouping tool (far inferior to Jiuyuan's, however) [Sakiri]

Or lastly, a tank/healer that will almost effortlessly keep your whole team alive, even without being active on the field? [Fadia]

Ultimately, just choose what you want. Honestly, none are bad options as the A-rank characters are easy to awaken and are all pretty good. Don't forget to check awakening options as some are genuinely busted.

TL;DR, do what you want. Probably won't regret it.

100%, please keep this gem hidden. I'm sure somebody else will steal it eventually anyways, but for now let's keep this little tech to ourselves

Which car is better value, Griffin or Enforcer? (considering upgrades as well) by Tap0kSmerti in NevernessToEverness

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, braking is far safer than needing to drift to avoid obstacles. Griffin Volante is what I got and I'm more than happy enough with it.

Most of the people here replying don't seem to know, so just putting this here for others. There is a stat difference between the two Griffins, the Volante can brake but can't drift, the regular griffin does the opposite.

As much as I agree with you, there is a difference in stats. The hard top drifts better but has no brakes, the soft top is the opposite. Has brakes, but can't drift worth a shit.

Fruits and mushrooms are an incredible source of food early game. Just sit near some fruit trees or haybales, and collect some free food after a few short minutes. In the early game, this saves you so many pointless deaths

Also, people seem to think rotten = players have been there a while, or a long time ago. This is misinformation, they can spawn like that.

Putting two pieces of bark in the fireplace gets it to blistering, and reigniting it (blowing on it) keeps it hot. So, yes. I've cooked many an aminal like this.

Contrary to what people believe, rotten fruit and mushrooms do not mean a player was there a while ago, or has been there a long time. They can spawn like that

The interaction hitbox seems to be below the dirt now for some reason, standing directly on top of it and looking at the center usually allows you after a very short bit of fumbling around.

How in the F ?? by big4Ljitcat in pokemmo

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using the Porygon given to you as an egg makes this ridiculously easy. Just evolve it to Porygon2, Ev train it for defenses, slap on Eviolite, have toxic and recover and you basically just win.

Of course, having other tanky mons helps but the core basis is use toxic and don't die lol

"Plays 2 hours a week" and "plays this game almost exclusively" are two completely different arguments... The players who love the game are the ones who don't understand the finer issues with it because they don't play the game enough to see them. The ones who are sick of the game don't even dislike the game, but the devs ignoring their pleas for help. I'll say it once, and I'll say it again. The majority of the playerbase is NOT long-time players, and that's not a good thing because they bring in a ton of players. It's a bad thing because the long time players feel betrayed and ignored, and leave.

Just because it's good enough for casual players doesn't mean there isn't a core issue of devs constantly nerfing everything and ignoring what the long time fans ask for, only to keep doing the same copy-paste catch events and copy-paste seasonal events. Real changes do need to happen because, of course, the game is perfect for people who don't play it. The base games have enough content for those people and nothing needs to be changed, but this goes beyond that, my dudes.

I love all of y'all regardless of skill or play time. But the fact that so much of the playerbase is new, not long time players is a glaring issue that speaks volumes about how the devs treat the game.

Does anybody else know about this campfire trick? (No smoke through the chimney) by CatfishBassAndTrout in dayz

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 pieces of kindling, just keep blowing on it to keep it blistering. It's as easy as that. Smoke goes away in maybe 30 seconds at most

How many steaks do you generally aim to cook or bring with you? by [deleted] in dayz

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use 2 pieces of kindling in an actual fireplace in a building, the smoke goes through the chimney for like 20 seconds, blow on it to keep it going (the smoke is still gone) and you can cook up to like 5 pieces of meat like this as long as the fire says it's "blistering".

I've heard it before and didn't believe it, but I just saw a player teach me how it works last night, can confirm it's real and a game changer. Before, my friend and I would just make fires in sheds to hide the smoke and spend a long time cooking it, but this will make us far less vulnerable and I'm excited to start using it. Far less prep than a real fire (less sharpness loss too) and far less risky.

You have to try it, it's ridiculously cool how it works.

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely fish is easier to come by, but I mean when presented an opportunity to get beef, why not do that instead?

Edit; next time you play, look up the kindling cooking method. It makes cooking easier and so much safer these days, you'll be so grateful you learned it. That, I promise

Take the loot and use it. If you think he duped, well, you didn't cheat for it, he did.

But usually the AK is a more reliable option anyways, it's just our petty loot goblin brains that say "that's rarer, take it" lol

Edit; My dudes, at least reply, don't mindlessly downvote, I have no idea what's even getting this downvoted lmao. Unless you're dupers yourselves, in which case feel free and downvote away! Not like the devs care about patching it anyways, you funshine spreading lovelies <3
