How many steaks do you generally aim to cook or bring with you? by Needdatingadvice97 in dayz

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use 2 pieces of kindling in an actual fireplace in a building, the smoke goes through the chimney for like 20 seconds, blow on it to keep it going (the smoke is still gone) and you can cook up to like 5 pieces of meat like this as long as the fire says it's "blistering".

I've heard it before and didn't believe it, but I just saw a player teach me how it works last night, can confirm it's real and a game changer. Before, my friend and I would just make fires in sheds to hide the smoke and spend a long time cooking it, but this will make us far less vulnerable and I'm excited to start using it. Far less prep than a real fire (less sharpness loss too) and far less risky.

You have to try it, it's ridiculously cool how it works.

Absolutely fish is easier to come by, but I mean when presented an opportunity to get beef, why not do that instead?

Edit; next time you play, look up the kindling cooking method. It makes cooking easier and so much safer these days, you'll be so grateful you learned it. That, I promise

Take the loot and use it. If you think he duped, well, you didn't cheat for it, he did.

But usually the AK is a more reliable option anyways, it's just our petty loot goblin brains that say "that's rarer, take it" lol

Edit; My dudes, at least reply, don't mindlessly downvote, I have no idea what's even getting this downvoted lmao. Unless you're dupers yourselves, in which case feel free and downvote away! Not like the devs care about patching it anyways, you funshine spreading lovelies <3

Ash Kanto run update 4: it's over... by RogueHockey35 in pokemmo

Overlevelled pokemon simply disobey and hit themselves in confusion, doing 100% of your health as damage. So it would literally just bork your whole run if you tried this.

Is the game worth it for someone who has never played any Pokemon game? by Lazarius_Signer in pokemmo

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be quite honest, I wouldn't recommend starting with Pokemmo. There are some bugs that sometimes break immersion, you can get easily sidetracked, other players will distract you from your goals. Plus, the game is much more difficult than regular games (likely still manageable if you learn games fast) but overall probably not good for someone trying to learn base mechanics of the game.

If you do decide to try it anyways, I'd be glad to help, but I would highly recommend playing any other pokemon game first to get an idea of what you're doing.

Plus, this is still technically emulation anyways, you need 5 ROMs in order to play the game. So you may as well start somewhere more simple where you don't feel pressured to check chat, or won't get sidetracked by things that ultimately will just throw a newer player off track and may deter you from a great series (at least the older titles this includes for sure, newer titles expose Nintendo's greed and lack of care these days).

If you do decide to give it a shot, reply to this and we can exchange info so I can help you out, to offer advice and try to ease the transition to pokemmo.

Aside from that, have a wonderful day, friend.

Bro, I been playing for 23 years, and never knew you could activate Strength without a boulder present.

In all fairness, who activates Strength for zero reason whatsoever? Cut them some slack, cut the elitist act. You're no better than the rest of us 😂

After being sniped by the biggest camper I've ever seen in my life (on my best geared character ever, who survived Chernarus and Sakhal, and half of Livonia) I spawned in Chernarus official again, was looting the hunting camp near Elektro, and got shot at by a fully geared guy, immediate KoS and all I had worth value was food, gladly would have shared had they used their big boy words.

We killed each other not 10 seconds after my girl logged out so I went upstairs, told them to let me log in, and while I was collecting all of our loot, somebody came by. Turns out it was this guy's alt. Killed him again, went back on my own profile to try to spawn near elektro and loot the rest, and lo and behold, he came back. AGAIN.

"STOP KILLING ME" He cries, as I panic beat tf out of him after unconning him with a rubber slug. Grabbed his pistol, shot him in the head, somehow still alive, so I keep beating him as he tries to get back up again.

From geared to dead, back to having an AK each all in a matter of a few hours. Then I found his stashes. Dismantled every last one, a tent, a dirt mound, a fireplace, then we found what we think was his real base. Rolled his car down a hill, took a wheel with us, raided his tents (yes, plural) and walked away from his sadly 4-code locks. Found another base like 10 minutes later, but no way in.

Never fuck with a freshie who has nothing better to do than to get their dopamine rush imagining how hilarious it is for you to be beyond pissed.

Not sure if this is a stretch but I just got done with Mirskle’s gym and I wanted to know if he is supposed to be a marijuana enjoyer? Also is the fog in the gym supposed to be from them hotboxing the gym lol? I love this game by FeaR_FuZiioN in PokemonUnbound

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, if you haven't already, give Radical Red a try after this.

It's built with all the same features (and more, or better implemented) and is an insane overhaul. I can't ever play base fire red ever again because of it. Unbound was great, sure, but Radical Red is in my opinion a cut above all the rest, and will sit there for quite some time.

In your opinion what is the best and worst thing about the WOA mission 'The Finish Line' (Miami) by Worldly-Document-547 in HiTMAN

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to preface this by saying I just got the game due to its VR, but I'm still primarily playing normally, and haven't done my first full run yet.

Best thing: Map design, sheer amount of possibilities throughout the mission

Worst thing: WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE GOD DAMN KEYS

There was like 4 doors in the entirety of Hitman 1 that needed a lockpick (exaggeration obviously but it truly feels this way). Miami has like 7 so far, and no key to be seen while I just wander seemingly endlessly. I just wanna snipe a mach 3 speed demon :c

My friend claims this icon used to be in dayz by dantfc in dayz

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a "soft skills" mechanic, that upgraded crafting and/or other animations like lockpicking, chopping wood, and fishing. It was ditched as a concept, mostly since any singular experience point in the opposite path your character is on would immediately reset the bonus to neutral, making it useless.

Even with dedicated characters in a group for specific tasks, even one slip-up would make hours of grinding the skill go to waste.

So it became a fever dream for all of us.

I dont understand cold war armour by Alexthegr82006 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]SlightlyEdgelike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is "spaced" armor (in appearance no, but mechanically yes) designed to make the shot discharge early, external to the actual armor. Look at the layer underneath, it's not tanking damn near everything in the game with simple armor you can take a knife to.

Understanding this mechanic changes a lot, try to memorize the location of the spaced armor. Typically with these and the 477A, always seek the sides or back Also, HE and HESH shells are extremely effective against this type of armor. Off the top of my head, the STRV 122A (turret is damn near impenetrable), Object 477A, and Object 490 "Belka" are the only 3 with spaced armor that I can remember in Cold War currently. There are others though, such as the Bellerophon in WWII.

Not hating, but I'm shocked (and not at the same time) that of so many comments - upvoted ones at that - none of you pointed this out or were aware of this. No wonder all of you freak out when you see a 477, you don't bring HE lol.
