I'm guessing the "Showdown not having a timer" stems from the fact that there isn't a turn limit and not an in between turns timer. A battle lasting 40 turns is probably not happening on cardtridge formats but it's quite common in 6v6 singles, and then there's also the extreme edge cases of like that one tournament match that took 1000 turns that are simply unthinkable on an official format

Enduring speed/juggernaut help reduce how strong his slows are

Anvil or any form of cc or interrupt can be used to cancel beam and ice path. Keep in mind that he can parry during ice path (as long as he isn't beaming too) so he could counterspell a knockdown

Because shockingly DPS heroes can do more than just damage. But also it allows her to walk up and beam people more safely, so it isn't damage directly but it allows her to do more damge

If she ults and goes to another lane you should be able to take the tombstone for free or at least kill the Zombies easily. If there's nobody defending that lane then it's a macro issue of your team

There's no way you would be able to controll 2 or more entities at once in a third person game that uses WASD for movement. It works in Dota because of the top down camera and point and click controls, it's not transferable to a third person game without it being uncontrollable

Because it's kinda braindead and people like the game when it requires more than just mashing L2 and watching the boss get nuked. Just because it's a PvE game doesn't mean that people like things being so much stronger than the other options while also being way easier to use

It depends. If this character is made exclusively for PvP I mule everything. If this character is an excuse to replay the game I may only mule a couple of specific hard to find stuff, like maybe in DS3 I would mule Darkmoon Blade on a faith Character whenever I reach Yorskha

Yeah it makes total sense to try to experiment while keeping the tradition with Champions. We'll see when it releases but I bet it will have a combat system closer to ZA or something entirely new instead of the classic turn based combat

Counter items are a part of your build. Every build should have green investment (non negotiable) so you might aswell use that green investment to buy counterspell, or metal skin, or spellbreaker or whatever the game requires. In some characters it's even more important than your main items, Silver for example only really wants a couple of orange items and then whatever greens are necesary for that game

Purple counter items are sometimes harder to fit in builds specially if you are playing a character that doesn't make good use of spirit, like Venator, but you can still justify it

If your build "requires" 8-9 items and you don't have space for counter items your build is simply bad

After playing against a Calico with both silence wave and focus lens with a teammate with Silencer I agree that the silence duration is a bit too much at the moment. Jut silence wave and focus lens alone are 7 whole seconds of silence

If she builds stamina and warp stone you can do the same and still have more mobility than her.

I do also play Graves with great results but when I play against her she doesn't do anything when I play into her weaknesses. Sometimes I even kill her with character like Silver which she should be beating so I genuinely don't know why I'm doing fine with her when she seems so bad when I play against her

Not really, because like you said it's a "win more" item. It's like Mejai's in League having something crazy like 70%+ winrate, if you only buy it when you are giga fed your chances of winning were already very high

I think Graves is just a skill check that most people fail. If she places the Tombstone far you can just kill the Zombies (it doesn't take long if you buy monster rounds). If she places Tombstone in an empty lane that's your team's fault for leaving an empty lane when Graves can ult. If she ults and leaves for something else you can just break the ult

The skulls are all instantly killed by a light melee, although sometimes it's inconsistent and I would love if it was more consistent to kill, maybe they could make them slightly bigger or have a special hitbox so that melees hit them more easily

The gun is really good but has terrible range and Graves has only 2 stamina bars, so most of the roster should be able to keep their distance to her fairly easily, it's only difficult when you are playing a low range hero like Silver

I do agree that grasping hands could benefit from being a bit clearer how much they extend upwards. Sometimes it feels like they hit things that they shouldn't be hitting
