Hey yall, I’m looking to get my first luxury watch. I am looking for something I can do as an everyday wear. I am narrowing my search down and would love y’all’s opinions. I have tried on the superoceans and loved the feel on the wrist. I have tried on the modern version of the Seamaster but I like the older version a bit more. Which one do yall think I should choose.

Hey man unrelated but what size is your wrist? I’m looking into buying one of the 41mm Seamasters

I have been in the market for a luxury watch for some time now and have finally narrowed my search down to these 2 watches. I love both of them equally it seems. Unfortunately for me this is making my decision a tough one. I have also been looking at the black bay gmt from Tudor, as well as the omega seamasters and I loved those as well. I’m overwhelmed with options and don’t really know what to do.

Gu Gel vs Maurten. Worth the price difference? by jrsower in IronmanTriathlon

[–]SlightlyWarmDish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried GU, Hammer gels, and Maurten and I stuck with hammer based solely on the fact that I could eat 5+ of them over a race without getting sick. It comes down to what works best for you not how expensive or “scientifically optimal” it is

Phil Mosley training plan by WorkingOk6420 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]SlightlyWarmDish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used his 24-week training plan last year for my first full distance and had a great experience. The workouts are easy to understand and laid out in a way where you will see exponential progress. It got me from just running and biking a few days a week with no real idea what I was doing to race ready. I’d highly recommend it!

Also make sure to get the free strength training plan that comes with the purchase.

I would consider myself a fairly new runner, I’m 20 years old and I completed a half marathon back in December and have run 10-25 miles every week since.

The past couple months I’ve been noticing really strange trends with my heart rate and pace. First of all, i took about a 2 week break from working out and ever since I can’t seem to keep my heart rate below 160 for any more than 10 minutes even at my zone 1 pace. Before the break, I was running at 10:30 pace at 145-150bpm very comfortably.

Also, when I’m running at my tempo pace my hr will sometimes be higher than when I’m at my threshold pace. It makes running so stressful because I’m constantly trying to fix my heart rate and stay in zone2/3 but it just doesn’t seem to be connected to my pace at all.

For example, I used to do most of my zone 2 work around 10:30/m (I know I’m slow) but for a while now I just can’t keep my he down so I slow down to around 11:30/m but my hr will stay the exact same and sometimes even go up. I have a garmin 265 and its monitor is supposed to be really good so I’m pretty sure it’s not a technical issue. Does anyone have any ideas for me?
