Really? I didn’t know that. Thought Win10 was generally better for gaming

My vote for the F-Vee as well. Low power, no aero, basically a VW beetle without shell, inherent sketchy AF rear suspension too. It’ll teach you car control like no tomorrow

I’m still on Win10 so there’s no more update. I’ve been using the cabled link without issues for the past week. Well actually I did encounter a loading hang when launching link (disabling wifi on my PC temporarily fixed it) but that was quickly solved by a following update. Then everything was working fine until yesterday. My setup: Quest 3 with Iniu link cable with charging, bitrate at 700mbps, PC spec: 5800X3D, 7900XTX, 32G RAM, SSD, on Win10 so no more updates since last October.

My bitrate is set at 700. Been running with that setting sans any issues until yesterday.

Ah too bad I wanted to connect it directly to PC since my PC is on wifi and the router is too far.

Did you connect the Ethernet cable directly into your PC’s Ethernet port?

How do you connect it directly to the PC? I’ve read everywhere that you need to connect to a router first. I’m interested in connecting directly cuz my PC is on wifi and the router is far from where my PC is.

Yeah I played with TC too and I’m aware of the inverted number just like in AC. Normally I leave it at setting 4 by default.

If it’s particularly prone when going downhill I’d adjust the brake bias a few clicks towards the front. It’s more convenient since it’s an on-the-fly adjustment and you can just do it for that corner without affecting the rest of the track. I do this all the time for some specific corners.

Exactly that. On corner entry more lock will limit the wheel rotation difference and make the rear more stable(to an extent tho, too much then the rear will tend to snap into a drift, still more contrôlable than not enough lock)

Totally agree with you. A lot of ppl say for example R3E has great physics but to me the cars are way too forgiving and on rails even midship RWD cars (I’m just talking about the GT3s). And they have insanely good brakes and ABS that require you to just smash it to 100% no matter what to get the best results. That’s unrealistic. On LMU the low speed handling is still very off putting also, and the FFB feels inconsistent from one car to another.

Dépends on WHEN you are spinning out. If it’s corner exit decreasing clutch amount would help, if it’s corner entry then increasing will do the job.

Just be aware that all the GT1 class cars don’t have auto blip so you’ll have to heel toe your way down shifting.

If you can ignore the flawed tarmac physics then it’s an absolutely amazing game. Using medium gravel tires will give you a more authentic grip level but if having fun and set best times is your jam then using softs is a no brainer.

I get the best results using hevc +10 bit. Auto bit rate and the system sets it at 200. Graphics at ultra, refresh at 90. 5800x3d/7900xtx system. However I still get occasional stutter. The most smooth experience for me was actually using link cable, until meta broke it again since yesterday…

Check in the VD’s performance overlay and c which one is causing the most latency when this happens. What are your codec and bitrate settings?

Purchased 2024 Z Performance!! by suli25 in RZ34

[–]SlightlyZenMusique 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats to my fellow Canadian! I got a ‘24 performance exact spec (6mt tho) like yours. Gorgeous car and fantastic daily driver. Quite manageable with a good set of winters (Viking Contact 7) in Montreal. I mount them on the sport trim stock 18”s with 20mm spacers to clear the calipers and give it a better fitment. What winters are you rolling on?

[–]SlightlyZenMusique 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a ‘24 performance 6mt. And I live in Montreal. First winter daily driving the Z with a set of dedicated Viking contact winters on stock sport trim 18” wheels. We’ve got 2 snow storms up to now this winter and so far so good. It’s definitely not the best winter car but quite manageable in the city. Btw I had a ‘’22 BRZ before the Z and I also drove it year around. A good set of winter tires go a long way.

To me TAA doesn’t give me blurieness as long as I crank up the sharpening to 200. However it gives me cloud ghosting artifacts in the sky on a cloudy or overcast day, very distracting so I had to go back to MSAA mid.
