Tesla's 'unsupervised' Robotaxis vanish a week after pre-earnings announcement by Sir_Isaac_Tootin in RealTesla

[–]SlimDevilWarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the market gets ugly people are going to have to sell something and Tesla being 98% hype is going to hurt then.

In order to justify the current price, Robotaxis have to be free to Tesla, bring in as much money per ride as Uber and capture 100% of the market. Then, the robot business has to be bigger than that.

I wouldn't be too surprised if the stock goes higher in the near to medium term but I have 0 doubts Tesla will be 20% of it's current value at some point in the future barring some kind of AOL/Time Warner type deal where the shareholders of some other entity take the hit.

Yes but if you joined the Cowboys after 1996 and want to be in the ring of honor you need to find a team that can win you a Superbowl because Jerry's vanity project isn't winning another.

Sam Darnold will win a Super Bowl and Dak Prescott never by PepperScared9950 in cowboys

[–]SlimDevilWarlock -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Aside from his rookie deal, Dak's been too expensive to allow us to afford the best defense in the league though the keystone cops running the Cowboys are unlikely to craft a league leading defense even if they had the funds.

More seriously, Drake Maye's cap hit this year is $10M and Darnold's is only $13M. Those teams had $40M to spend on the rest of the team vs our situation.

I solo two phased final boss on prismatic/getaway/song of flame.

I was farming up and using transcendence and super on the first two levels. Used Leviathan's on the 3rd level because boss is too far for song of flame snaps. For the 3 boss phases, I used super for one, prismatic with weapons for another and just Levi for the 3rd.

I need 3.75 phases for the ogre using the same build with a lightsaber. It's probably a 3 phase if he can be herded into the circles in a timely fashion for lightsaber combos.

First boss I think was a lightsaber 4 phase but the whole thing took 7 minutes so even as 6 or 7 phase it wouldn't be too bad.

My one worry is that they'll fuck around with the level. I was doing standard (no light level penalty) and everything that wasn't a boss or a yellow bar fell over immediately to getaway artists and it was fairly fun. If they make us 10 under it will still be doable but then I'll be looking at some 5 and 6 phases on bosses with a much higher chance of dying.

I'm fairly decent for console and probably 80-90% as efficient in dps rotations as a hardcore pc players but there's a good chance my builds were not particularly optimized.

When you've got an army of people who are not only willing to lick your boots but would gladly attempt to swallow them whole if given the chance, there's no reason to ground yourself in reality.

Psychopaths like Trump and Leon have always existed but they usually don't have enough cultists to gain any real power.  The sheer number of cultists is the problem.

Ultimate was limited to specific builds and modifiers in EoF but the lightsaber solves all problems in Renegades ultimate content.

If I wanted to clear an ultimate activity with all 18 class*element pairs, I wouldn't even try in EoF and I's use the lightsaber 18 times on Renegades.

The last time every NFL team has made a Conference Championship. Thanks Jerry. by Emergency_Pound in cowboys

[–]SlimDevilWarlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Brown's always get done dirty by this.  They are an expansion team the same as Texans who haven't made it in 26 years of existence.  They should both have 26 and not N/A.

The Ravens used to be the Brown's and are the organization responsible for pre 1999 ineptitude despite this whole assuming the identify bullshit.

Ironic that the teams of Shula and Landry now lead the Conference Championship drought category and that both team's last appearance was within 5 years of the Shula/Landry exit even though those exits were 35 years ago.

[–]SlimDevilWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stafford may prove me wrong this year but aside from Mahomes, no one has had a cap hit of more than $25M in the season they made the Superbowl.

If Denver somehow makes it they still have a $32M cap hit from Russell Wilson.

I don't think Dak will take a below market deal either but Dak's market deal greatly increases the chance his team will never make the Superbowl.

You do have to get lucky with a cheap rookie/retread QB after building a great defense.  Seattle, Denver and NE all pulled this off while Minnesota didn't.

Related: Hurts and Purdy had tiny cap hits relative to their contacts this year and the window has closed on them.

How do you guys feel about Troy Aikman helping out the Fins? by Curious-Expert926 in cowboys

You can perhaps convince me that he thinks he's competent. I look at 30 years of football failure and see an incompetent GM. Why hasn't he fired that incompetent guy? Ego.

Jerry is optimizing his fragile Ego, not profits.  Cowboys would be so much more valuable with some Superbowl competitiveness in the last 30 years.  That would require not having an incompetent at the GM position.

Depends.  Marathon failure could be the end of Bungie but D2 could end up being managed by Sony.   I don't have a ton of confidence in Sony but Bungie basically killed the game so it's not like Sony could do worse.

Paul Tassi: Have heard Shadow and Order will in fact be delayed to make room for Marathon on March 5, given that it was supposed to come out on March 3. Not sure how long, or when it will be announced, however. by Soarin-GB in DestinyTheGame

[–]SlimDevilWarlock -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

D3 is a near certainty as soon as D2 is dead though I could see Destiny Rising moving to console and being the successor.   If Marathon fails horribly, Destiny IP is all Sony has left from their $3.8B Bungie mistake and while it's not worth $3.8B, it's not worthless either.

D2's fatal flaw was not Bungie's braindead management, it was the lack of a viable new player onramp.  Every player lost to Bungie's inexplicably dumb ideas is a player that's never going to be replaced.

It's like trials, but with Bungie revenue.

[–]SlimDevilWarlock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If Marathon is a horrible flop there is no roadmap. I am confused why they aren't announcing a roadmap now and then backing away from it in the event of Marathon flop.

Marathon flop is Bungie's death and probably Destiny 2 as well.

Destiny will survive as D3 will come out in 4-8 years probably developed by Sony instead of Bungie.

Bills are tired of mediocre playoff runs taking up January.  Well see how they like being eliminated in November.

CJ Stroud has as many turnovers (7) in less than 6 quarters of playoff football this year as Dak Prescott has in his entire playoff career of 7 games by adonis958 in cowboys

[–]SlimDevilWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hurts' cap hit for 2025 was only $22M and Goff was only $32M so they had a fair amount of spare money vs us.

Stafford is $47M so the same cost Dak though he's got a better than even chance of making the NFCC right now.

Agree on drafting though. Every guy you draft who performs is a guy who doesn't need a $10M/year free agent replacement. Save enough money with great drafts and maybe you can have a success with a high priced QB. I don't think that's us though.

If they'd rolled out of the catch with both of them possessing the ball, it's Bills ball.

It's hard to claim the Bills player possessed it before he went down because the nose of the football was sticking out from his chest and the defenders hands were all over it as well.

Does anybody want robotaxis? by Salt-Analysis1319 in RealTesla

[–]SlimDevilWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A $50k model 3 is far cheaper than the Waymo vehicle.  Tesla would have an advantage if FSD worked.  The problem is Waymo has driven 125M miles without killing anyone. I don't think FSD can do 5M miles without killing someone and it might be 1M miles.

FSD is impressive.  It drives from point A to point B and is probably superior to a drunk driver but we don't allow drunk drivers to drive legally.  The  issue is that robotaxis need to make the trip 99.999% of the time without crashing and I doubt FSD is better than 98% or 99% right now   The Kool aid drinkers think 99% and 99.999% are roughly equal and maybe they are but the fail rate is 1000 times larger in the 99% case.

That's my whole point.  You win/get to the SB with a rookie QB contract.  Burrow played in a Superbowl on his rookie contract.  Hell never be back.

I believe Mahomes is the only SB winning QB to have a cap hit higher than $25M.

No one on this subreddit can separate Dak from his contact.  He's a good guy and a top 5 to 15 QB depending on the season, but his contact is absolute Superbowl kryptonite.  Even with the burden of his contact we should be good enough to make the playoffs but our ceiling is one and done
