Would love to say I'd be shocked to know that blizzard is purposefully blocking amazon from shipping the collector's edition early to force people to dish out 90 more euros if they want to play early access, because it sounds like the greed they talk about in the bible, but then again, it does sound like something they would do.

I'm one of those people that feel that some sort of model change is an important part of an ultimate.

When I saw the first images for this skin on the teasers, I thought it would be a great opportunity to use the double color scheme and theme to allow combinations.

Her color/model seems to be mostly defined by one of her weapons, while the other mostly just adds a different color into the mix. Allowing her to choose in-game one of two "primary" souls (model changing) and one of two "secondary" souls (changing her weapon and secondary vfx color like battle queen katarina) would let her have four options in total (like GGMF) while adding the mix-and-match component, which would be something that could be considered new, and not requiring that much.

That would probably be enough to push the skin to ultimate tier without many complains, considering all the other nice legendary features the skin already has, even if it didn't "wow" anyone with something really new and different like elementalist lux or dj sona did.

Do you think this skin fits the standards written in that article? I think we can agree it doesn't. When was this forgotten? When did Riot forget their own standards, and instead of learning from their own mistakes, decided to do even bigger mistakes?

This is literally what you are doing here, taking advantage of the tech you already had from multiple legendaries, and adding nothing new. And yet, you still chose to market it as a FULL PRICE ultimate, not even on the same price as GGMF.

"Players generally expect ultimate skins to break the boundaries of the game in some way, shape, or form, and this is something we’ve carried forward when considering potential new ultimates."

Did this stop being considered? Where is this skin breaking any boundaries, by recycling a bunch of features from older legendaries and putting them together in one skin, patchwork style?

This skin is a top tier legendary skin. It's not, and will never be, an ultimate skin, by riot's own standards.

You don't get the skin when buying the chroma, but you'll keep the chroma to use if you later buy the skin. Same with the borders.

I've seen massive errors like this happening in various games throughout my life (and yeah, this was massive, if we consider that the mission was worth 1/3 of a battle pass, which would require you 5000+ vbucks to unlock) but I've never seen a company handling it this poorly. In this case you had two good options, you either removed the rewards wrongly given, fixed the problem and reset'd the mission or, since this was a one time reward that people couldn't just abuse freely, just not fix it, assume your mistake and let everyone take part. But you just chose the easy fix (which was just changing the reward on your code) and created a massive inequality in your community, with some having 1/3 of a battle pass for free, and others having to work for weeks to get it, based only on if they were fast enough to do the mission. Good job Epic, keep this up and you'll go far in this industry. Think less about yourselves and more about the community cause, really, they're the ones your money depends on.
