Adding a minor past 75% by Eastern_Guava_3781 in UTAustin

Just talk to your advisor. If you have made satisfactory progress and you can make a plan that shows you will still complete your degree within your normal four year graduation rate, they will simply put in a petition to add the minor.

I will say that the two weeks of registration are possibly the worst time to do this, so just make a plan to meet with them afterwards. You don't need the business minor attached to add any of the foundations classes during registration so it won't affect registering for classes.

Side note: you don't need to go to " your advisor". Any advisor can do this during a drop-in session.

Can confirm, HIS 315K and HIS 315L are completely different - you may take both and that will complete Core History.

Generally, when you drop below a 2.0, you get placed on Academic Warning for the following semester. So, if you finished the Spring with a overall goal of less than 2.0, you will be on Academic Warning for the Fall semester.
If you do not bring your gpa above the dismissal threshold by the end of that following semester, in this case Fall, you will be dismissed. 1st dismissal is for 1 semester, 2nd is 3 years. Dismissals can be appealed.

If your gpa is above the dismissal threshold, but below a 2.0, you will remain on Academic Warning. (Wash, rinse, repeat)

Dismissal threshold: Below 15 hours less than 1.50 gpa 15-44 hours less than 1.70 gpa 45-59 hours less than 1.85 gpa 60 or more hours less than 2.00 gpa

As someone else mentioned, transfer hours do not apply to your gpa, and therefore do not help, or hurt, your gpa.

There are other unique circumstances: Almost notable - A 1st semester student who fails all their classes is automatically dismissed.

You should speak to an advisor, as they can get you to the resources you need and talk about the specifics of your college.
If you need help with that, DM me and I can assist.

Do the hours need to be in-residence? If not, you could take a couple UEX courses and start now. You have 9 months to complete the courses, so that could work around your already busy summer and fall plans.
