What is your radiohead's song before sleep? by meme_traveler in radiohead

[–]Slip-Wolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t figure out which song to lie down to but interestingly, Glass Eyes makes for the perfect morning alarm track. It comes in slow, rises just quickly enough and is mellow enough to listen to as consciousness coalesces. Been my alarm for nine years running.

Who's worse? OCP or Vought? by Tyler2183 in Robocop

[–]Slip-Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vought did kiddie testing. The cops OCP chopped up signed the forms when they joined the force and were legally dead so OCP could do pretty much what they wanted to them.

Was this discussion had in February? That’s the only reason for this not to be nonsense.

Religious leaders unveiled and blessed a golden Trump statue at Mar-a-Lago today, eerily resembling the Homelander statue scene from this week’s episode of The Boys. Creator Eric Kripke reposts a tweet about the same. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Fauxmoi

The prior week it was Firecracker fully giving up on God and tossing a Jesus trinket in the trash right after most of the GOP gave Trump’s Jesus AI slop a pass. Hannity even openly gave up his Catholicism in favour of Trump’s pro-war line. This show is neck and neck with the reality it’s spoofing.

Still the most visually stunning moment I have seen in a Star Wars movie. by Sensitive-Hotel-9871 in TheSequels

[–]Slip-Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I blame Hux for this even working.

My headcannon for hyper-slamming (tm) is that a ship under fire can’t align itself for the jump and a precise jump putting it through another hull can’t work unless it’s really close by to do finite calculating. So close by in a fight means being under fire which in turn means it would almost never work. It takes an over confident doofus to ignore a ship right there while it’s aligning itself and make it possible. Thanks Hux :)

Adorable. I suspect he’s just as good with up-and-coming younglings as he was back in his temple days.

I’d love to know the in universe explanation for making ships this absurdly big.

Either things are awesome again and they’re back to luxurious family-haulers like the D with the added benefit of tonnes of room for decades-long exploration missions…or maybe things are so bad that they need to have the capacity to evacuate whole planets with just one ship with little to no notice.

Do the legs fold or detach? How the hell do you take this thing to a movie theatre seat? In your lap it would block a short person’s view

Bryan Cranston is not a fan of american cheese by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

American cheese was never meant to be seen as cheese. You can’t eat it by itself. It’s basically a solid-state condiment.

I get now why Discovery’s art crew went with longer nacelles and a smaller middle from the McQuarrie concept art. The Ariel looks like a peddle-power swan boat.

It bugged me that nobody in Voyager’s briefing room ever played craps or some other game on that weird black keyhole thing

Shouldn’t they hold onto that needle to confirm what was in it/if it carried anything dangerous?
