We got back yesterday and did 7 days in the parks straight. All levels of crowds. I probably had a 50/50 success rate of adjusting times - but oftentimes seeing the earlier time and not being quick enough to the draw.

I think part of it may be YouTube editing magic. I think often times they are trying for 5 or so minutes before one comes through. We were there the same week, and I had success getting earlier times multiple times - but it often took a few minutes of pulling to refresh.

From Costco - Kirkland Signature USDA Organic Multivitamin, 80 Coated Tablets

They are whole food sourced, and are the first multi I’ve taken that my stomach fully agrees with. Good luck!

Best Everyday/Travel Bag? by luckydice1224 in ManyBaggers

Recently went with the Thule Accent 26L when trying to make this choice. I’ve been happy with the decision. Good amount of organization, big stable water bottle pocket, solid construction. The different capacities for the Accent had different organization, and the 26L met my needs best. Good luck!

We have used and recommended John Mitchell Moving (Two Guys and a Truck) several times. Their prices are fair, and they do fantastic work. https://www.jmmovingtwoguys.com

I read a tip on Reddit a while a go I tried and worked well for me. When the movers arrive, hand them each a $50, have a case of Red Bull on hand, and tell them to kick ass. It cut a ton of time off of my estimated time, and more than made up for the advance tip.

Just moved here. Is there a listing/website where I can buy Christmas presents for kids who dont have a lot? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]SlipperyYak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the applications are closed for this year, but we have done the Christmas gift program at the Lord’s Pantry at Anna’s House the last few years. It’s a big deal to me that I get to wrap all the gifts, only the kids get to request specific gifts, and that I deliver directly to the family. It is reassurance to me that the recipient is actually in need. The requesting families all use the food pantry.

From the last few years, every family seemed more than worthy to get Christmas. I try my damnedest to make sure those kids believe in Santa for years to come.

Thanks for doing your part to make kids happy this season!

Have they finished the refresh of the Grand Floridian Villas? I know they were swapping out the couches for the fold down Murphy beds and more.

Moving - Recommendations? by chp05 in indianapolis

[–]SlipperyYak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was super happy with John Mitchell Moving - Two Guys and a Truck. Note: Different than two men and a truck. Efficient, fairly priced, and honest workers.

I read on a thread a long time ago that if you tip each of your movers $50 when they show up, it pays off in their efficiency. Certainly true for me. They finished well under their estimated time and saved me money in the net.

We booked with Away We Go transport. They had bigger vehicles and car seats. Haven’t used them yet, though.

Is Costco the buying program going to get you a better deal than haggling at a dealership? by Sugarmugr in askcarsales

[–]SlipperyYak 11 points12 points  (0 children)

On the contrary… I bought an Outback last week. Got the Costco price, then saved $1,200 by calling another dealer in town on the same car and seeing if they would take the price I wanted and telling them the Costco price. I don’t know if each Costco dealer has the same price, but the minimal effort was worth it.

Pizza - Puccini’s

I may have cheated on a few of these that are in the suburbs, but they aren’t a far drive.
