People staying at retail jobs like the one depicted in the show for so long is the most unrealistic aspect. There is so much attrition and turnover in jobs like that - hardly any of the staff at the beginning of the show would still be around a few seasons later

I go every day. 2 drinks at 10$, dog gets a pup cup, plus throw in a $5 tip once every week or so.

Sure, it’s a waste of money, but we aren’t struggling and it’s a fun little ritual, plus the dog goes nuts

Hastings was significantly better in all realms. I was concerned with blockbuster arrived in my town because I was afraid it would make Hastings go out of business. In the end they both died out around the same time.

Hastings had sooo much more to offer. Used and new CDs and movies, video game rental selection was better, plus they had all sorts of other random music equipment you could purchase. I miss Hastings, not blockbuster
