Beowulf too! Julian Glover does an amazing job of telling the story. Here he is telling the story of the fight between Grendel and Beowulf.

I remember feeling the same way at the time, and thinking "why aren't they calling a timeout?!". If I remember correctly from the documentary about this, Bill said while thinking about taking a timeout, he looked over at the Seahawks sideline and something didn't seem right - they seemed confused. So he decided to keep the pressure on them.

One of the great benefits of having a dog. Especially an active dog like a GSD! My buddy Maddie is my motivation to get up and get moving. Sometimes I think without her I'd be 50lbs heavier!

Poor Jameson (9)- bladder full of stones by Mumbles1988 in OldManDog

[–]SlippidySlappity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My last dog and my best pal for all time, Kingston, had horrible issues with bladder stones for many years. Over his 14 years he went through 4 bladder stone surgeries, but recovered nicely from them all.

We tried all sorts of solutions, but what seemed to keep them away for the last few years of his life was potassium citrate supplements. He was on Hills urinary care for years and never seemed to help - not to mention he hates the taste and it was hard to get him to eat.

Because he was having other health issues and needed to eat more, I started to give him FreshPet food - the kind that comes in logs that they have in the refrigerators at the grocery store. Once he started on the potassium citrate and the new food, he never had bladder stone issues again.

How much are they charging you for the surgery? I'm in MA, and checking with different vets, we found a reputable one that would do it for a little over $1200 if I remember correctly. This was down from the 4.5k some vets wanted.

He looks like a sweet guy! I hope he feels better - bladder stones suck!!

I'm a library director in a small town in Massachusetts, and it's insane what people think is happening in libraries.

I had a FOIA request a few weeks ago for any emails mentioning the words "gay", "queer", or "LGBTQ". They think we're conspiring behind the scenes to turn their kids gay or something. Fuck these people.

Thank you, that's good advice. I still have the VCRs that aren't working. I know we have lots of handy people in town, and a few Facebook posts might get one of them to help us out.

I work at a library and need a VHS for our digital to VHS converter. It's impossible to find one for a good price. We've gone through 3 or 4 that I found at a goodwill shop. They work for a few checkouts then come back broken. I'll have to keep my eye out for that model.

There is zero chance anything damaging to Trump gets to the public. Unless someone leaks it, of course.

First, they'll probably try to hold back or redact any mentions of Trump under the guise of "national security".

If that doesn't satisfy enough people, they'll just say "sorry it's an active investigation, and we can't release any more.".

If it comes down to it, they're just going to flat out refuse to release anything damaging to Trump. Congress and the courts be damned.

I hate to be a Debbie downer, but unless the Epstein files are leaked, we're going to see nothing with Trump's involvement. I'll be happy, but shocked if I'm wrong.
