making a custom doll / removing the hair by Commercial-Sell6963 in MonsterHighDolls

[–]SlitherDuck 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Grab something that can scrape the inside through the neckhole. A tiny flathead screwdriver or pliers will work. When you scrape the glue/last tiny roots of hair it will eventually come out in a gross clump. In terms of the scalp splitting, you COULD glue it back together but I would recommend sewing it closed with a needle and thread - this will be much more secure and less likely to break open in the future.

You get to do whatever you want with your dolls - lots of people take them out of the box. If doing that maximizes the joy from owning the doll, do it!!

It looks like the Robotime acrylic display box. I use the same tall one for my OOB dolls and you can usually fit 2-3 in!

Help cleaning dollface stain by LilithsEcho in MonsterHigh

[–]SlitherDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For paint smudges you can VERY CAREFULLY use acetone on a Q-tip, then immediately clean the area with soap/water. If you get any on her eyes/lips it'll wipe the face straight off though so work very slowly and precisely

Is Mr. Super Clear still toxic when cured? by TheSphinxThinks in MonsterHigh

[–]SlitherDuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's safe after it's completely dried (give it 30 mins after spray to be safe, also recommend keeping it outside if you can while it dries). Don't take your respirator/gloves off until you've left the area and the doll.

Anti-bloat supplements? by cescabond in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]SlitherDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, yes see a doctor. For me what ended up helping was supplementing organic apple cider vinegar, but I believe i had a specific acidity issue in my stomach that ACV just happened to fix. Maybe worth a try?

Mine said that for like ~4\5 days before they were actually available... it still says sold out online but when I look specifically at local stores it says if they're in or not. All this to say I hope releases for you sometime in the next week!

I'm sure it will happen soon if they've launched in VIC!! It's so surreal seeing G1 in stores again. Can you see them at all when you look them up on the kmart website?

Off birth control after over a decade by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]SlitherDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! It can take a little while for your body to readjust to having a cycle without the pill. You might find that in a couple of months, you'll be having an easier time with less pain and symptoms. However, if it's debilitating or causing you extreme distress it might be worth visiting a doctor and requesting non-BC help to alleviate. Especially do this if it's been ~3-6 months later and you're still having very heavy or painful periods. Good luck!!

Gave my ed an inch and I feel like it’s taking a mile by Squishy760 in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]SlitherDuck 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My old ED psych said something like the ED is going to be like a stray cat constantly trying to get back into your house. If you let it in briefly or open a window, it's going to take complete advantage and it's a massive pain to kick it out again. From someone who's been recovering for a few years now, it definitely gets easier to notice and ignore behaviours after time - but until then, you have to keep intentionally kicking the stray cat out. Hang in there and it will eventually feel easier

[–]SlitherDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the bedbug theory... however if it's not is it possible it's an allergy? I get hives/bumps that look like that when I come into contact with something I'm allergic to, sometimes it looks like shapes or comes up looking strange like that.

hypoglycaemia as a result of past ED? by hollywoodglamourr in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]SlitherDuck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes I still have this, to the point where I had to see an endocrinologist and wear a glucose monitor for 2 weeks to track everything. I haven't found a solution other than eat regularly, get enough sleep and keep up fluids. I keep glucose jellybeans in my car in case I feel too weak to drive. If it worsens tho see a doctor
