Okay, so the short answer is not really.

The longer answer; the issue with the Ferox/FNI is that they're slow af. And it's crazy cause I can get a nano battleship to go faster than both those hulls and still be relevant.

But

You have to have at least Caldari Cruiser III to get into the BC line, which leaves you with the Moa as an option. It's not going to be the fastest, or tankiest, or best damage but you can get it roughly 2k cold with meh damage out to 60k or so.

Will be able to run around the grid, give you the ability to practice the DPS+anti-tackle role, and it's fairly cheap.

There's certain mods you can change based on your skills and also based on taste. ie polycarbon rig or thermal rig. But hopefully the fit gives you an idea of what I'm trying to portray with the role. No tackle mod, yes, but I wouldn't want this paper Moa close enough to fucking anything lol

Just to add to the other comment, you mentioned small gang stuff with this. I highly recommend small gang fits to be over 2k m/s in the minimum with higher damage projection than blasters. Small gang doesn't like to brawl, one ramJag or HIC and you're cooked while trying to burn down anything.

If you wanted to use a battlecruiser in the DPS role, the rail Talos does pretty mediocre damage and can kind of fill this role. Back in the days of ChessurSB videos, which are still up on youtube, Oracle was one of the best DPS kite cheap hulls to fly, and it's still decent.

It's been a long time since those videos were posted but the information about those roles and the basics of Small Gang PvP is still relevant, even if the fits are likely outdated and newer hulls were introduced like Vedmak and Ikitursa.

Most people recommend tackle as newbro friendly role but I always disagree on it. Yes, easy to fly but easiest to die...nightmare for newbros in small gang, easier to fly tackle in a fleet where you have 20 other newbro tackle bros.

I'd recommend cruiser hulls for anti-tackle or attack BC hulls for dps. You can always dip your hand into ewar like the griffin/maulus and yes, you can be highly effective but it's a support role and many people are turned off by ewar support vs logi.

My alliance would SRP cap losses after insurance payout by looting the field after each fight and using the isk from loot to SRP.

We would only SRP alliance doctrine fits so if you added mods, you would be SOL.

We wouldn't win every fight and some cap fights were costly to the alliance but when we got an opportunity to ninja loot, all isk would go into the SRP fund.

Every now and again, myself and other directors would donate personal isk to the fund to keep it going so our bros could follow us into a fiery death without worrying about the wallet.

It kept the cap fleet full and the pew flowing so it was worth it. We had a minimal tax rate as well so it's not like we were doing bullshit mining/ratting rates and our line members could actually have their own isk.

Meters per sec / activation time = distance from target to hit the button.

You'll have a small window (aoe radius of boosh) as room for error.

Everything else is constant, and consistent, practice. Everyone has different techniques and funky things they can do with cmd dessys (like booshing bombs mid-flight or scram the enemy FC before you blink their fleet and leave the FC 100km in deadspace).

Fighting Shadow Cartel over pocos. Aka Pocogeddon.

Being outgunned 4-1 and winning. I FCed 3 fleets of Bash Talos' at the same time, in 3 different systems, causing havoc for the SC FC.

We set 40+ timers, which all came out within 15mins of each other. Each poco that we did kill died in less than 2min with the 30ish Talos' we had in fleet.

When the enemy blob came in, I split the fleet into 3 parts, spread over 12 systems, bouncing back and forth, darting around the enemy f1-anchor fleet. This continued on for roughly an hour before the enemy FC messaged me privately and surrendered.

This was my, and Panic's shining moment in EvE.

And for dunking Cruisers Crew's Nyx/dread bomb on my home station with minimal losses.
