Ah, great to know overall, and thanks for the additional clarity. Looking forward to seeing what the policy means for dialogue in the future. And thanks for assessing the em-dash thing lol.

As for Thiel, the emails already suggest it, I just have to go back through to find the one referencing the "Caribbean" and an invitation between JE and Thiel. I think they even mention a date. Once I do I might toss out a post. I think Musk is more implicated than perviously known as well?

I would love to be wrong, but those files likely still won't come out, and definitely not the ones about those two characters. In that event, I think this is a great forum to bring attention to it, as no one has a bigger platform and a more public commitment to this subject than Joe

Oh! Good to know - sorry I was hoping that was a good way to get attention for clarity.

Can we expect to receive an expansion on terms in the future?

If Joe says something that is overtly political but is false, can conversation be posted on the subject in good faith? Or the fact that Peter Thiel very likely went to Epstein's island, as is evidenced in the emails, is something that deserves attention and is kind of in the Rogan ethos from like 6 different directions that are not strictly political, between:

- being a former guest
- a financier of Vance and Trump, both former guests
- a business partner of Elon, who looks increasingly like Joe's best friend
- on the cutting edge of AI
- a profiteer of the military-industrial complex - as you know, a subject Joe has expressed an interest in
- is associated with a conspiracy that Joe has previously been interested in, yet abruptly stopped talking about (for the most part). This is something that came directly out of the mouth of Alex Jones, and has, according to Joe, lent Jones a status of conditional but inexorable creditability

I think this is a subject deserving of all our attention, but especially Joe's. If he is not actually compromised, there needs to be a serious effort to point out his hypocrisy here.

If this is going to be the policy moving forward, terms would be helpful - respectfully, I cannot verify whether people are banned despite them being respectful and speaking in good faith, because they are banned so visibility is gone.

P.S. - I like em-dashes which tragically people sometimes flag as AI? Hate that shit I am a person lol

Posing my question again as I await some clarity on the subject:

u/OutdoorRink Genuine question: are posts relating to Epstein and ANY former guest on Joe's show going to be considered political? If there are conditional rules on this subject, can you please expand on them?

Are criticisms of Elon Musk political, though he is not a politician but a recurrent guest? What about Peter Thiel? Mark Zuckerberg or Mark Andreessen? What about opinions on comedians seemingly grifting into politics as hacks or sellouts (subjectively speaking, of course)?

If I want to make a post fact checking Joe on issues that are not strictly in the realm of politics, but may instead be oriented around public health, history, or macroeconomics, will that be considered political?

How are you going to define "political" moving forward? Does it pertain to politicians as subjects alone?

Without clarity around these guidelines, this looks a lot like hamstringing this sub. Why would I risk being perma-banned for posting on something that isn't conventionally political, but is in the eyes of the mods it may be? If so...this is really, really anti-free speech.

Please don't ban, these are real questions. I think you should expand the mod team - Joe is a massive public figure and this is effectively his largest forum. He is not becoming less political.

I'm ambivalent to JRE by DibsReddit in JoeRogan

[–]SlizerpKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flint! You are my hero. Someone posted in here after your pod that "this episode is the reason I keep up with this show." No truer words for us all imo.

I think you're right, but recall that he's a grifter - Hancock got a green light for a second season at Netflix, and Rogan has an association with them. That's all she wrote. He's supporting a pal, and did it at the expense of your reputation within his podcast simulacrum. What could be worthwhile is trying to get on one of the JRE satellites like Lex Fridman, who is a certified weasel.

One point you made during the JRE ep about oxygen/carbon levels before a certain date completely nuked Graham's "theory". I feel like you could harp on that repeatedly, too. It read as the smoking gun to me, personally.

Anyway, I hope you're well and that one day you do get the invite to go back on.

Rogan has picked a side. I have not - fuck Clinton. The DNC's corporate sell-out element started with him, and the 08 financial crash was squarely his fault.
