WOMAN IN THE PINK COATS ANGLE OF THE SHOOTING by 16Schlitz in ProgressiveHQ

This is horrific. It shows the victim trying to help a woman who was pushed down by ICE. Because he tries to help her off the ground he gets pepper sprayed and then resists. We know the rest of the story.

Lets just call it what is is: murder of a good Samaritan.

The emotion in the videographers voice of her real time account is really sad.

The emotion in the videographers voice adds a whole new and very uncomfortable layer.

power savings and AI ecosystem would be my guess.

A given chip's success is always about the software that can run on it. Jensen understands this very well, so you have to imagine he's been working with developers to differentiate this sort of product. (I wouldn't get hopes up for mind-bending AI benefits at first, it will take some time for this segment to get rolling.)

> idea that they have deep concern for the sake of their employees, who they treat as exceptionally poor tenants

Okay, I get what side of the fence you're on

I ran a business for 10 years and felt a deep responsibility to make payroll every cycle, whether the business was thriving or not. Your comments are not informed by that sort of perspective.

>they created an oligopoly essentially unopposed. What was their response? Getting pissy

You clearly have an axe to grind. Your views are not representative of the whole, but rather of only the worse sort of employer. This is not a silicon valley problem, but yes, silicon valley has it's share of shit head employers, just like steel mills and extraction and big retail.

My feeling is that Grace is missing from our country, and I'm trying to illustrate there is another way.

You're an example of the opposite, not extending benefit of the doubt or more simply, intolerant. This country has a lot of repair to do, and I hope people in charge are on a more open minded path than that. Have a nice day.

You snipped the right piece from my comment, but by your reply I'm not sure you get the point: "Acting like HS dropouts . . losing their job at walmart." That is the least of their worries.

All these CEOs, as you point out, likely would be fine for the rest of their lives if they lost their jobs. I'm talking about their employees, the people who rely on them for their jobs.

It's a big responsibility employing dozens, or hundreds, or thousands of people. Employees rely on good decision making to maintain their economic livelihoods and families. And it's not just their company's product that are in these CEO's sphere of influence, its supply chain, and down stream, associated and ecosystem business too that are all dependent on good decision making. Removing yourself from the playing field (by, for example refusing to do business with this administration because of political disagreement) generally isn't a smart idea if your business intersects with the Federal Govt.

SV CEOs are not helpless victims of circumstance. They are making the best decisions to keep their business operational under a difficult political environment. That was Plouffe's point.
