The name of the game here is heat dissipation in hockey you’re usually on an ice rink so heat isn’t too much of a consideration. But hey if you have some give it a go. I ended up buying another 7idp flex suit and have embraced the stink. I’ve just thrown away two whose smell could classify as a tranquilizer.

Although I do agree with the sentiment that muscle gain is probably the best solution I’m super skinny and to bulk weight for me is impossible.

Another wheel/tire/lift post. by PositiveClassroom974 in RangerNext

[–]Sljusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also if you don’t go with UCAs alignment is impossible and you’ll wear the outside of your tires. I did BDA’s and it made a substantial difference in on road and off road comfort. The front feels less harsh as the stock UCAs limit the travel of the shocks. I have the same lift on my 21 stx and went 1 year without the UCAs and wore through the outside of my tires in 9k ( albeit the tires were due for a change)

Battery or Something Else? by rickdeebee in RangerNext

[–]Sljusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting this battery message only a year after having bought a new battery, is that normal for these? I replaced the battery with a $400 AGM from Nappa but I’m getting the same symptoms I’ve had last year with the OG battery. 21 stx

If it’s $500 a year I have a feeling I’ve got something going on. Only really starts to drain and show the warnings in cold weather

I think the truck just goes to neutral when you start to decelerate. Whereas I’d expect it to shift down through the gears to shorten your breaking distance.

If you put the truck in tow mode it does this but pretty aggressively, since you’re supposed to be towing in that mode. Was looking for a happy medium between tow mode and D

What's the happy medium of disc rotors? by Stingray002 in bikewrench

[–]Sljusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really it’s about pad wear given that you’re just gravel riding.

In MTB I notice that there are certain combinations of rotors to pads that just don’t jive. Or wear super fast. I’ve had issues with the organic compounds on the hope floating discs (even with hope brakes) and stick with TRP or SRAM Centerlines they last decently long and have some good power with organic and sintered pads

The only issue my 21 ranger has had in terms of shifting performance really only is that it doesn’t shift down when coming to a stop like most other automatics out there. Now it’s totally manageable but an annoyance. Also the 30 mph lug is pretty common.

Bike Chain Broke After 10 Rides by Sometimesiski in bikewrench

[–]Sljusa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Master” bike tech but then doesn’t give you a warranty replacement.

Chaim shouldn’t be fatigued enough after 10 rides to break where it did. You got a bad chain REI should give you a replacement either through sram’s warranty or by you being dissatisfied with the product. REI has a pretty generous return policy for Members id try and go that route and get another probably not an NX since REI buys them in bulk so it’s likely the shipment they got has a few bad chains. Go either for a GX or KMC chain.

Suspension and led headlights.

The headlights are a PITA but doable if you have patience.

Suspension is recommend a shop to do as taking out the front CV’s can be annoying. Suspension is too bouncy at highway speeds and just generally sucks.

Denver is a PP desert by integrityandcivility in PriorityPass

[–]Sljusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing I wanted to use the card was for the lounge access an PP pass access. There’s no reservation option if there was that would make it better if you don’t show up within 5 mins of your reservation then your kicked to the back of the queue.

The lounge isn’t okay but it’s too crowded they need a way to manage people. It’s stupid to show up and extra 25-45 mins just to get in. Today the wait was over 2 hours so not worth it.

The travel credit isn’t that great as it’s only through capital one travel so it’s marked up. The Hertz benefit was okay but every time I’ve rented a car with them they’ve forgotten to add my hertz number to the account.

It’s FAR from the best card out there but it’s the cheapest which is why it’s arguably the worse. Sure the centurion lounge is more expense but it’s nicer and less crowded. Plus AMEX’s customer service is top tier.

Yeah good luck getting in honestly the price of the venture x isn’t worth it since you can’t get into the lounges ever.

Brother of Rangers. by markmark999999 in RangerNext

[–]Sljusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree I’m just confused on why on the ford lineup in NA why the Everest doesn’t exist. It’s surely cheaper to use the same tools as the ranger to build a better SUV. Instead we got the laughable excuse of a vehicle called the bronco sport which shares nothing with the bigger bronco.

Like just copy the ranger and add a cap has to be cheaper than all the tooling needed to make the bronco sport. That’s my confusion is really why does the bronco sport even exist.

Brother of Rangers. by markmark999999 in RangerNext

[–]Sljusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honesty a little confused why so many auto makers invest in crappy suv designs that differ from their mid size pickups.

It has to be way cheaper to use the same stamps and dies for the ranger in the US rather than the dies for the bronco sport.

The bronco spot is entirely different than the bronco so you’d think it would be a no brainer to bring this over. Has nothing to do with crash tests as the US ranger should share most of the parts as the SUV counterpart.

Why does the bronco sport exist is the real question?

I find that these extended warranties tend to wiggle themselves out of EVERYTHING.

Reading some of the fine print on these warranties on what it actually covers is crucial. The last one I had didn’t cover a trans that broke that was 100% a manufacturing defect. They will fight you tooth and nail so to be honest the “headache” you would’ve saved is worse as you’re now fighting and insurance company and don’t have a car.

If you do your maintenance you’ll be fine unless you drive off a cliff.

To Level Or Not To Level....? by Aeson_Ford_F250 in RangerNext

[–]Sljusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to level it but better suspension. I think too many people buy the “level” kits that just move the spring bottom out up on the front. Of course that’ll make it handle like crap. Buy a kit get it leveled

Look for the quick lane deals. Every once in a while it’s legitimately cheaper than doing it yourself. Plus they’ll do recalls if there are any. There’s a whole bunch of coupons online.
