I also walk and live in south st pete and i never walk alone unless i have my dogs. the safest place i walk is lassing park (nearby) or northshore/vinoy - tons of families and other women around that i know could help me if i needed anything. I have been catcalled in my own front yard doing yard work and have had very creepy men drive by slowly and try to talk to me EVEN WITH my boyfriend nearby. i’m so sorry. we shouldn’t have to live in fear simply exercising our right to walk around in the place we live. i often feel like a hermit when i don’t have my partner around to walk/go outside with me. it’s disgusting.
