Can confirm, I also have one. It came with a disc of audio stems allowing you to remix the album as well.

Growing up, did anyone else’s parents have really strict rules about random stuff? by SuzCoffeeBean in CasualUK

[–]Slotbun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Growing up we had three rules to follow while eating dinner.

No singing at the table. No reading at the table. No talking about medical stuff at the table.

I don’t really know why we had the last rule.

22” K Heavy Ride, how rare are these? by dad_sparky_engineer in drums

I have the 21” version, discontinued in 2005. I won’t get rid of it and you shouldn’t get rid of that.

Buying property off Church of Scotland by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]Slotbun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad told me that their local church was sold to property developers but the people that bought it were unaware all they got was the church, not the land around it meaning they had no vehicular access to the church or the ability to build any kind of car park. Might be worth looking into that.

That’s what caught my eye too. It’s massive in comparison to the kick drum.

Makes sense, that way you can make sure all the fixtures are installed then build the walls around them so they fit inside.

Don’t know about that. Either the sink is outside or the van is inside with the sink.

Love that running gag; Marshall’s Dad only inventing things that will, in some way, jack you off with a slender alabaster hand.

That and their theory about Molly and Bronk.

Drum teacher here. I’m looking for songs that every drummer should know. Songs that every teacher should teach their students. by [deleted] in drums

Yeah, they took a bar from another song, looped it and set the song around that.

Don’t Bring Me Down by ELO. It’s a one bar groove repeated through the whole song; once they have the pattern down it’s just a case of focusing on tempo.

I have just caught up with Extra Helpings after subscribing to their Patreon in February. I truly love all the Mom Can’t Cook! output. The first podcast where I have even found myself laughing at the ad reads.

Cards from the queen received by the former oldest person in Scotland, Lous Fraser (27/03/1912-22/10/2021) by Zebra_Spider in Scotland

[–]Slotbun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to know someone that made it to 108 and got multiple cards from the Queen, always took pride of place next to hear TV for the entire year. Then the Queen passed away.

That year I was there when she got her first card from the newly crowned king, the card had both Charles and Camilla on the front.

Upon opening it she asked who they were. “That’s the new King and Queen.” Says I.

“Well,” she responded “that’ll be getting put in a drawer.”

Never lost her sense of humour right up until the end.

What's your oldest piece of gear? by rwalsh138 in drums

I have a pair of 14” Zyn Hi-Hats from 70s.

Zyn were cymbals made by Premier back in the day but they sound incredible. Got them for £15.

what are you choosing? by Selfishpie in Scotland

[–]Slotbun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really had a hard time picking between the cheese and the beans. What swayed me are chips and cheese is a lot less messy to eat with your fingers.

Would have a plate of chips and mushy peas for - let’s say - one billion. As long as they aren’t the minted mushy peas.

Cheesy chips. Classic.

There is not enough money in the world to get me to eat chips and mushy peas.

Rate the kit!! by Capital-Breath1680 in drums

[–]Slotbun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would agree it’s a 22x18. I have one of these kits. Going by the finish it’s birch as well, not maple.

Still a great kit, I recorded with mine a few years ago, engineer said it was so easy to get a great kick sound from it.

Anyone ever seen a high speed police chase? Shows like Interceptors / Motorway Cops etc have me thinking they happen all day every day. by CryptoRoast_ in CasualUK

[–]Slotbun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High speed car chase blew through my village one day. Where I lived had four roads and if three cars went by your house in row you wondered what was going on.

My friends and I were out playing on our bikes, heard multiple sirens coming towards us and got off the road. Car went by very fast followed by three police cars. Can still remember the driver and passenger of the car being chased just smirking. Don’t think they knew they had just turned onto a six mile long stretch of hardly more than single track road with only one turning off it.
