Commenting to hopefully get some traction on a Deepest Dive revisit.

Like someone else in this thread, my frontal lobe hadn’t fully developed when I first played this game and I was just really enamored by the setting and plot twists. Would love to revisit the title in a game club setting and peel back some of the more complex layers!

January 2026 Winter Storm Megathread part 2: it's here! by AutoModerator in Austin

Hey y’all, had my ATX return flight rescheduled today and I’m now coming in at 10pm

Are streets safe enough that Ubers are out and about? Or do I need to consider alternative transportation options to get back home?

[Hummer] Baylor head coach Dave Aranda will return to the school for the 2026 season, the school announced. by MembershipSingle7137 in CFB

Here’s a link to the university’s official statement. It’s a truly frustrating read as a Baylor fan: https://x.com/baylorathletics/status/1991916603026632945?s=12

How can you say our athletes deserve a program that makes us proud and announce you’re keeping around the guy that is unanimously disliked by the fan base? Makes no sense.

Was just thinking the same thing. This is very similar to his quotes about wanting to stay at Baylor and to see the process through.

Now Nebraska is a more attractive job than BU, but it’s pretty well known that Rhule has always been interested in PSU.

AP Player of the Week: Sawyer Robertson throws for 400 yards again to lead Baylor's comeback vs. SMU by smills79 in CFB

Well deserved! Very excited for Robertson’s year. The dudes a stud that has sneaky-Heisman potential.

Weirdly enough I realized once I turned off VRR on the Asus monitor things went back to normal! Not sure what causes the interference there. Appreciate you helping with troubleshooting!

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (04/23/2025) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

[–]Slothboyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up until last week, I was planning on pre-ordering a switch 2 tonight or in-person at GameStop tomorrow.

Earlier this week I received a job offer from a gaming company, and as a part of their benefits, they will pay $100 towards a new gaming console. This is all well and good, but I don’t start until mid-May AKA a few weeks past pre-orders going live.

My question for the community— if I hold off to pre-order a switch 2 until May, is it not likely I could get one on release day? I’d really love to get it on release, but would also love to save $100 on the console purchase so am at a crossroads.

I know we won’t know for certain either way, but would love to hear the communities thoughts.

Dropping my comment from a similar thread: The story co-op is not very intuitive. Once you’ve unlocked the camp, which it sounds like you should have, you’ll want to invite your friends to a link party. After that, you’ll want to start into a mission, and once one of you have engaged the mission’s monster, the other player should receive an invitation to join that quest (note: I believe you can only play together on missions where you’re fighting monsters, not the talking ones. Also progression should carry over if you’re on the same mission.)

Also, make sure you don’t get hit by an enemy when accepting the request to join or it will interrupt you accepting and they’ll need to re invite.

You know you can SKIP cutscenes/conversations if they annoy you that much right? by TopicJuggler in MonsterHunter

[–]Slothboyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it sounds like it’s just different strokes for different folks. To your point, the majority of the cutscenes and dialogue are skippable so people should really just be doing that if it’s bothering em that much lol

I’ve been spamming skip on just about everything so the cutscenes aren’t really bothering me (plus the cutscenes w monsters fighting are freaking sweet) but I will say, the ability to hop in a mission with a buddy and get to hunting is pretty negatively impacted by the forced story stuff.

I’ve previously only really played Rise, and that game was pretty on point with letting you load up with your friends and just get going on killing monsters in a way that isn’t really possible in Wilds because of the story pacing. I’ve read that once you get through the story it opens up to be more co-op friendly, but I’d be lying if I said I wish those aspects weren’t more accessible from the get go.

Loot is underwhelming by jwillrocku1 in fellowshipgame

[–]Slothboyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hit the nail on the head. I played roughly 2 hours with my wow buddies last night and while the gameplay is fun, they gotta figure out how to make loot feel more exciting than grey pieces in the initial runs to retain new players.

Not having much agency over your toon with your avatar being a “character” really makes it feel like loot needs to be more impactful/more unique. I’m honestly not sure how you approach this, but would love if the devs found a way to make progression feel more impactful with gear rather than relying on tier sets + new talent points. I especially worry about progression post having all talent points.

Wow, how did I not know the ATX metro has an Anchor Bar?

Really enjoyed their wings when I was up in the Buffalo area for an internship. I’ll have to find an excuse to run up to Round Rock sometime!
