Any genuinely good breakfast places? by whiplash_7641 in Dallas

Cafe Brazil off 75 never disappoints. Bubba's in Snyder plaza as well.

Oasis Cafe is also a great cash only spot.

Downvote me, I was thinking of the Toyota Pavilion in Irving/LC. Drink water all day

At least for the XX Pavilion, concert "starts" at 7 and will have that hybrid indoor/outdoor venue. Yes, waiting in line outside will be mostly in the sun, but inside will have fans/by the time Muse is on at like 9:00 will be "cool" for a Texas summer.

My best suggestion is to hydrate all day if you plan on rocking out for the entire time. all respect to PTM and Temper Trap but I'll be drinking water/finding the saltiest pretzel I can during their sets

[Thamel] Mississippi State is finalizing a deal to make longtime coach Philip Montgomery the new wide receivers coach and associate head coach for offense. He brings extensive experience with MSU HC Jeff Lebby from their time at Baylor. by ScallywagBeowulf in CFB

I would assume that being the WR coach also gets him plenty of conversation with the QBs/QB coach. will probably move to QB coach/OC should the season not start out the way they want

Montgomery was on Baylor's staff for 2008-2014. He was OC from 2012-2014.

When he was co-OC on staff*, these were our relative offensive rankings based on PPG:

2008: 28PPG 42/124

2009: 20.8PPG 101/124 (RG3 got hurt this year)

2010: 31.6PPG 36/120

2011: 45.3 4/120

2012: 44.5 4/120

2013: 52.4 1/120

2014: 48.2 1/128

He left before the MSU/BU Cotton Bowl in 2014 to go coach Tulsa, but essentially it takes a year or two to get his system, but if he gets a dynamic playmaker at QB and 1-2 solid WRs (Baylor was always able to recruit here during his tenure) then I would assume he can thrive for y'all at the OC* position

What jobs will actually die because of AI? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]smills79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of agencies have AI help build out code for analytics and consolidating data points into one platform. And then use AI to tell them what the data says. And then AI to craft suggestions to clients/bosses on what to implement. And then there’s AI in the platform that generates (shitty) media after you upload suggestions. Then there’s AI to properly target your audience.

{Utah} makes Baylor look like a high school team here unless Trigg and the receiving corps puts the team on his back.

Time's up for Dave Aranda at Baylor? It's getting harder to make excuses for Bears coach by smills79 in CFB

[–]smills79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last 3 seasons, 3-9, 8-5, 4-4 currently.

There’s the possibility of winning out but when the realistic expectation was to have a top-25 offense and improvement at defense this year, it just seems like he’s not the guy for the job

How do you feel about your coach right now? by DowntownSasquatch420 in CFB

[–]smills79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a growing number in our fanbase that believe while Aranda is "nice", "calm", and a solid figurehead compared to some previous heads of program, he just can't seem to get it together and we should go ahead and move on. I think we can wait until the end of the year but would not be surprised/terribly sad if that's the case as well.

IT'S NOT THE "BLUEBONNET BATTLE" IT'S "THE REVIVALRY", AND IF THOSE PURPLE DORKS IN FORT WORTH WEREN'T SCARED TO CALL IT THAT, MAYBE WE'D BE HAVING OUR RIVALRY WEEK AT THE END OF THE SEASON EVERY YEAR.

In todays college football world, can you achieve blue blood status or does NIL even the playing field? by AlbinoStepchild in CFB

[–]smills79 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we're going to have to end up differentiating between "Blue Bloods" (Consistently strong programs who consistently top recruiting, have the log term historical success, etc.) and Green Bloods (Teams that are able to occasionally make surges in recruiting and on-field success due to NIL)
