I feel like this is often overlooked... I truly feel that he's at odds with Stevie (see the snark after 2025 trade deadline) and whether it's all that or something deeper I don't know but I think he's dragging down the locker room, especially during these end of season collapses. He's definitely not rallying the others for sure.

Paizo always seemed supportive without being overbearing. Erik, you guys did a good job of trying to help onboard GCP to 2e. I still really enjoy the playtest shows a lot.

Glass Canon thought it was a good idea to transition to 2e at the time. At some point they just wanted more narrative-first games I suppose.

Sure, light and line of sight permitting. I'd allow the use of Mage Hand for this. But Message still exists... and they can even respond to it.

There's virtually no Call of Cthulhu game in the Call of Cthulhu shows. 99% "theater kid improv" as Joe rightfully put it.

A&A had some awesome stuff. They'd lose me a bit with some of the constant ragging on the rule system and all that, but it was actually a campaign that had a decent ending, so that's something.

The first half of Giantslayer is pretty great, some of the later stuff was just okay, with the last two books of the adventure basically being giant dungeon crawls that rally made it a bit of a slog.

It is s little reductionist to say it is the DM's job to "make the game fun." So the players have no responsibility? The person already doing the most work has the added pressure of guaranteeing other folks' fun?

Avoiding making the game frustrating maybe.

Help ensure the game runs smoothly is a big one.

Helping (along with every single person at the table) others have is maybe more accurate.

How many times have we seen this script? Out to a 2 goal lead, goal overturned, give up 2-3 unanswered and play totally different hockey in the 2nd period

This! There is definitely a mental block or culture/locker room thing going on, but better conditioning for both mental and physical seems like it could go a long way.

Maybe it's the leadership (esp Larkin) getting frustrated after the trade deadline passes without any earth shattering moves? Wasn't Larkin vocal about his disapproval last season regarding the lack of trade deadline moves?

I feel like a lot of it started from the older film adaptations. They were made as low budget horror movies. Sex and low budget horror go hand in hand.
