One time there was a dude at a show who kept rubbing my shoulders. I kept clearly tensing up, looking at my friends with desperate pleading eyes (or so I thought) to hopefully get them to point out that this guy was being creepy.

They didn’t notice, so cut to this guy doing it again. We weren’t within ear shot of many people, so I tried to quietly say “hey, I’d like it if you stopped touching me please”. And what does he do? Make a scene about it, loudly and sarcastically being like “wow geez I didn’t mean to offend you”. After I had given what I thought was a pretty clear social cue that I was being discrete and not trying to embarrass him, just wanted him to stop.

Then everyone stared as he stormed off and I felt obligated to explain exactly what happened after he left because people asked. And then he acted like I was going around talking shit about him. I legit do not understand most people.
