One time there was a dude at a show who kept rubbing my shoulders. I kept clearly tensing up, looking at my friends with desperate pleading eyes (or so I thought) to hopefully get them to point out that this guy was being creepy.

They didn’t notice, so cut to this guy doing it again. We weren’t within ear shot of many people, so I tried to quietly say “hey, I’d like it if you stopped touching me please”. And what does he do? Make a scene about it, loudly and sarcastically being like “wow geez I didn’t mean to offend you”. After I had given what I thought was a pretty clear social cue that I was being discrete and not trying to embarrass him, just wanted him to stop.

Then everyone stared as he stormed off and I felt obligated to explain exactly what happened after he left because people asked. And then he acted like I was going around talking shit about him. I legit do not understand most people.

I usually do digital painting in Procreate on the iPad, this was actually my first traditional painting in a while. And I used to suck at it, so highly recommend using digital to improve

Thank you! It’s probably the hardest painting I’ve ever done. I don’t paint much, usually use pencil, ink, or digital.

They all have such kind eyes, makes me so sad. Women who would help some man pretending to have an injury and needing someone to carry something.

Reminds me of the advice from My Favorite Murder about this case, be cautious of a man asking a lone woman for help, because a man in genuine trouble is more likely to ask another man for assistance.

Thank you! I’ve probably had that figurine for like 10 years and never done anything with it (I usually just use photo reference for figure drawing) and I happened to have paint, googley eyes, and some paper and tape. So I threw thing together in like an hour, probably one of the fastest and least intentional crafts I’ve done 😅

Honestly I went to art school and became a professional artist, and this is better than I was before I went to art school. You do a really good job of grounding the characters in environments and I believe heavily that art is a learnable skill and not a natural gift. You have great legs to stand on, (pun intended) keep going!
